Some NDS games and fun to play with but sometimes, there's a disadvantage of playing it. (For example: Too slow movements, blurry graphics etc)

For me, the cons are that the people don't talk in the cut scenes, like they do in other consoles like the PS2. And the graphics aren't as good, but sometimes I do think that cartoons make the game more fun. Those are my two main problems.

The only real con I've found to DS games is that, so the games can be small enough to fit on their cartridge, certain factors do indeed have to be cut out. Perfect example: compare playing a DS version of any given Sims game that's also available on a platform or the PC, and tell me just how different the two are.

Sometimes the DS games are dumbed down versions of the originals for the larger consoles. And sometimes they are nothing like the original.

They aren't good enough. Not enough power in the DS to run serious games like NFS and GTA in a nice kind of way,The Graphics in PES suck and the NFSP is too fast and you don't see enough in front. However games which are touchscreen only and mario kirby Pokemon are perfect for the DS and i think they are as fun as any game.So DS is good for Small fun relaxing durng travel games and bad for serious gaming

one "con" of DS games in my opinion is that on some games when you fist play them, the begining animation is to long and most of the time you can't skip over it, if it was just maybe 5 or 10 seconds it would be fine, sometimes i just want to play the game.

Well for me, I've never been a fan of little screens, as I don't like to squint. Granted, the DS has become invaluable since my job requires a lot of travel, but still, I'd rather play it on an emulator where I can see it on the "big screen". That said, fluid movement on the emulators is often a problem, but it may be a regular computer problem, as I only have a laptop (I'm not very tech-savvy so I couldn't say if this was a graphics issue or not).

sometimes the characters look really blocky, i find it really hard to search for a DS game's graphics to be smooth.

A lot of the cons listed here would have been on my list but they were already told. The thing about owning a PSP and a DS is that your looking something in one hand held console. NDS games that requires 3d movements like mario 64 DS would have benefited the use of an analog controller. Though what love-NDS has mentioned about the big screen on the XL, nintendo seems to know what their console needs and added an analog control on the 3DS.

well for one most of the good games for ps3 n 360 when they come out wit a diff version or whatever it gives the game a bad name dont get me wrong some of the games has great graphics control n whatnot. plus the still small screen even tho they've made it bigger...eyes still start hurting about after 10 15 mins.if you did get a ds it needs to be because of just more than one game

the few problems with the ds lie in its semi-strong engine and button placement. the system is jus strong enough to have some great games with good n64/playstation caliber graphics, but not as strong as those consoles were, resulting in a frustrating 'almost-there, but not quite' kind of graphic quality. also, these graphics sometimes cause developers to get overambitious, resulting in a beautiful game that lags. but these graphical/system issues are minor in comparison to the frikkin button placement issues. cuz the ds has 3d capabilities, there are a lotta great 3d games on the ds. but the d-pad is TERRIBLE for em. also, the ds lite buttons, particularly the a-button, are too close to the edge, resulting in thumb cramps. at least with the new nintendo 3ds, there will be an analog controller. hopefully the buttons will be spaced better as well

My biggest complaint is the touch screen, honestly. I hate games that force you to use it. It never adds anything but frustration because it only reads the correct motions 80% of the time.
