It's probably Gandalf just because of all the freakin' sweet stuff he can do with that staff of his.

Has to be Gollum/Smeagol. Really well developed character that can both reduce you to tears or make you bolt in fear. And the Witch-King. Badass character there. Can whoop anything with the winged dragon and the gigantic mace.

Tom Bombadil is my favorite character! He doesn't appear in the movies, but he's in the first book. Very interesting and light-hearted.

Interesting choice. I'm ashamed to admit that I'd completely forgotten about this character until you mentioned him!My favourite character is probably between Pippin, Borimir and Aragorn.Aragorn would most likely come top, followed by Pippin and finally Borimir.Aragron's character was well-developed (as were most of the characters), and I found his story throughout the books to be quite interesting. However, both Pippin and Borimir, I feel, are interesting characters, and we are left guessing at certain aspects about them, which I find intriguing.

Gimli, for his wit and temper. He also had some of the funniest lines in the movies, my favorite being "NOT the beard!!!" when it was yanked.

You got me, its Gandalf but, not just because he has a bad-ass staff. He also has shadowfang, the bad-ass horse and comes back from the dead as an even more bad-ass Gandalf the White! Not to mention in the Two Towers movie when he comes down the hill with all the riders and the light blinds all the orcs and they save Helms Deep! :D that was soo cool!

I really enjoyed Treebeard. I found the character really interesting, especially because the Ents in general did things so differently than anyone else. Treebeard was like a link to this other world that the Ents lived in that had it's own story. Like the disappearance of the Entwives, and how Ents eventually go "treeish." Not to mention the attack on Sarumon's fortress which was pretty awesome thanks to the Ents. It all just made me want to know more about Treebeard and the other Ents.

Tom Bombadil, Tom Bombadillo!Where the grass is green and the trees are willows!http://en.wikipedia....ki/Tom_BombadilLove the Tom :shifty:However my favorite character is EASILY Gollum. Unforgettable character! TV, Books, and movies have always had a Sauron or powerful Gandalf wizard, but Gollum is the only Gollum! Period!
