i prefer kodachi,kunai and knuckles cause those are the ones i practice.

I generally prefer the broadsword. Simple and yet effective.Other than that I also have an affinity for the Spear and Bow.

ima havta go with a sword, even tho everybody already said it. ever since i was a lil kid i loved swords i think they're even cooler than guns (i love guns too). every lil asian kid's dream is to be a sword-slashing warrior or ninja. in animes, sword violence is always the best violence.but a battleaxe is also very appealing. it's similar to a sword yet vastly different at the same time. and the carnage would be a lot more spectacular with an axe

A Ballista(Did I spell it right?), a siege weapon that fires large arrows at ridiculous speeds and can stop multiple warriors in formations, has to be my favorite ancient weapon. Arguably better than a catapult because it is easier to load and prepare.Older than that, the Club for its blunt force, simple 'pick-up anywhere' weapon. And lastly Fire, for what should be obvious reasons.

Crossbows are wicked; an elegant way to make physics work for us, delivering more power than physically possible otherwise just thanks to some fancy work with winches. Think about how unfair it was when the FIRST crossbowmen squad fought against regular bowmen in a fight. Sucks!

My favorite ancient weapon is the bow. I've always loved the idea of *not* being close enough to someone to get decapitated, dismembered, or eviscerated.

my favorite ancient weapon is the morning star because its very brutal than swords. when you bash it in the face of your enemy its like BAM !!!then his face will become a fountain of blood.

A Katana and a dagger!!!!I like slicing people into pieces and it look cool when you wield dual weapons.You can also dance with the wind.

The Chinese chu-ko-nu. I learned about them in Age of Empires, but I looked some stuff up about them and they seem awesome still. 10 bolts in 15 seconds? That's amazing, especially considering when they first came into use.

The bow is my favorite weapon because you can flank your target without it even knowing.

The Warhammer. Big heavy, and fun to swing around. Not as quick as daggers and blades, but it's good for breaking bones.

For sure it would have to be the cane sword. The look on people faces in those cheesy Japanese movies when the old guy whips out the sword and kicks major butt!

I don't know if it's exactly ancient, but I like swords. They are really cool looking and I like the image of the sworded knight on the bright, shinning horse.
