Search is still down so sorry if there is a repeat post,PS3 game Borderlands.I've seen the trailers, checked out the IGN and Gamespot reviews and now I want your opinions, is this a game worth getting? Am really interested in finding out who enjoys this game and if it's worth paying $79AUD to get it.

I never played it my self, but Ive heard from TONs of people that this game is really good.If you like FPS and RPG's this game is for you. There is tons of loot in this game.

I have it and like it alot...I work so I dont get to play 24/7 but in a week I have a lvl 32 Soldier (lvl cap 50) and enjoy playing solo @ times or playing with random ppl online...a ton of loot is an under statement... once you get far enough.. everything you kill drops somethingif you have specific Q's just ask and 'll replyPSN is gadamo94 (if u wana shoot stuff together)

Got this as an early christmas present yesterday. Is by far the most fun FPS/RPG game I've played since Fallout 3. It's just amazing, random, funny and violent as hell with a good storyline. Already got 3 profiles for a lvl 12 hunter, lvl 11 siren and lvl 11 soldier.Gadamo94 my PSN is TFDutchman if you ever wanna explore Pandora and blow the living crap out of every mighty midget psycho, skag or bandit in sight =PGreat game, definitely recommending it to anyone and everyone with a PS3

I have the game it's an awesome game but it's very hard when your underleveled but i got to say in my oppion it's not a great game to get at this moment. What i'm trying to say since this is the fall and so many diffrent games comming out like modern warfare 2 and many others you already know so many people are going to be playing this game... So what i'm saying is cause they decided to relese this game in the fall sesason not many people were going to pick to up cause of all those other great brand named games are going out. All my friends except me have this game so i'm never able to play online with people i know cause there ether playing other games or saving up for one(modern warfare). So if you have friends that you can play this game with online then yes i recommend this game if you don't know anyone with this game they save up your money for something better... (also note the ending was very stupid and the story in my oppion sucked so if you like games for there stories stay away.)

I agree that most people are probably saving for Modern Warfare 2, or Assassins Creed 2. I had Assassins on preorder since August and I don't really care about Modern Warfare. But I only have one friend that I typically play online games with, but I actually enjoy playing with random strangers. I just finished the game today, Yay!!! But I love going online, joining random peoples online games and running around with them blowing the crap out of bandits and spiderants and skags for ages. Its great fun, and as a tip for anyone underlevelled, I was lvl 25, played a few online games with some lvl 37s, and by hanging around with them I got huge amounts of experience and boosted myself to lvl29 so that I was 4 lvls higher than my enemies. Always a good tip if you're having difficulty with some tough fights.As for story and ending. I loved it. A simple story about treasure hunters searching for a mystical vault said to have advanced alien technology and weaponry as explained in the intro, and the story is as simple as that. Find the Vault. Simple, easy and overall great fun as the story unfolds. As for the ending, still thought it was a great ending, leaves it open for more sequels.I recommend this game over Modern Warfare 2, I rented it, finished it in about 7-8hrs. Some new features, but not that exciting. Standard typical war game. This game took me the better part of a week to 2 weeks. I like the game alot especialy all the DLC, I've beaten The zombie island of Dr.Ned, done a bit in Mad Moxxi's Underdome, I have the Secret Armory of General Knoxx but I'm still to low a level to attempt it.

I absolutely recommend Borderlands.Let me tell you a little story.I had just reached the final boss and was watching the scene that introduces it but I had to stop playing so I got up and turned the Xbox off (yes I played it on XBox 360 but I'm sure it's very similar to the PS3 version)When next I loaded my save I was in the final area but the boss was nowhere to be seen! somehow the boss was glitched out of existence and it was impossible (as far as I know) for me to complete the game with that character! 
So you know what I did? After a few minutes of shouting expletives I restarted the game. It's just that damn good. 
Mmm delicious replay value.

yh but only the goty edition because it has all the dlc and it's like £20 at game and it's worth the money nd it's a good fps or 3rdps

Its great but I suggest having a friend play with you. not sure how many people are online anymore. The game is way better with someone beside you.

The best way to describe the game to someone who has never played: is a Dungeon Crawl (i.e. Diablo), meets an FPS. The online play is lackluster unless you have a group of friends to play with, so if you're looking for a great multiplayer this isn't it. However this game is great fun to play through with a group of friends, or a few quick thrills solo playing.

borderlands is one of my top ten favorite games of all time. its unique mix of comedic values and randomized weapons make it a great game to play solo or with friends, and the second game just improves upon the greatness of the first. i would highly recommend this game to anyone!

Played some Borderland with a friend split-screen. It is pretty fun, but after a couple of hours it gets really repetative.
