Okay, what would be decent games for Wii? I had my first Wii previous days ago. Still, I'm a n00b about this, I assembled all of it. Now, some games in my Wii are all sports. Thus, I was wondering if there are any ideal games for Wii I can go for.

This is based on category.Shooter Games-Metroid Prime Trilogy-Call of Duty: World at War-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex Edition (got it on launch day yesty, just absolute awesome)-Resident Evil 4: Wii edition-The Conduit perhapsAdventure/RPG-The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess-Super Mario Galaxy-Super Paper Mario (Not as good as the other paper marios, but is good to kill time between games)Fighting-Perhaps a Naruto game, if your into Naruto. Same said for Bleach-Super Smash Brothers BrawlSports/Variety (Best enjoyed multiplayer)-Wii Sports Resort-Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games-Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games-Mario Party 8-Possibly Warioware, but easy to get overBut seriously, you'll fully love the Shooter Games, no questions asked. The Wii is an FPS maniac, so no doubt most online competition comes from those games. If you want, though 'illegal', you can hack your Wii.If you have any questions regarding the Wii, you can PM Sir VG, hackerx or me. I likez to halpz any 1's.

Yes thanks, somehow, I got only Wii Sports Resort which is in my punchline already. FPS games are worth addicting? Wow, in that case, I wouldn't need some fancy other controllers for Wii then. I can say relief already. Was the Splinter Cell: Double Agent is really on Wii? Most of the Wii games WERE only back for Game Cube only. I'll need a memory card and a Nintendo GC Controller. Anyway, thanks. I'm looking forward now for Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.

If you decide to try out Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles pick up a Nyko Perfect Shot from Gamestop. It makes all the difference in the world. It also works very well on The Conduit which is another great game

Hmm, interesting, another question, can I still download games into my Wii Console without getting a CD or something?

okay, personally, downloading games from the internet is a pain in the arse because most of them would be in 2-3 1GB files or 7-8 500MB files. I prefer to get my friends collaboration, everyone buys a couple a games each and copy them to my hard drive, then return and potentially trade them in and get new ones to copy, so i have many copies at a reduced price. :wub:The method of using a CD to copy is proclaimed old. most people who used it before the USB hard drive method are comforted by it. I prefer using a 16GB USB stick to hold a few games while the rest are on my computer. If I were you, I would go to the gbatemp thread I posted in another topic and follow its instructions.http://www.dgemu.com...howtopic=449446This is the link to that thread.

Thanks, there one last sticky situation. I'm surprised that my Nintendo Wii is the European Version! I'm really not that happy because I couldn't universally play all the Wii games. Is there any sneaky methods?

well, most homebrew (hacking) methods involve region free gaming, so if you do take the path to the darkside (or in your case, become a maverick :D) then regions such as NTSC,PAL and NTSC-J shouldn't become a problem... again, this might involve painful downloading (on the games behalf, not the homebrew software)you'd get a better response from Sir VG or hackerx.

I'm not certain of the exact percentages but a lot of games can be run regardless of their region.

So you're saying that 50% of all NTSC, PAL, and NTSC-J games are worth capable to play? Well, in that case, I still need some good valuable ideas.

Okay, so a homebrew program (region-free) can play it. I watch in You Tube and I see some people and their videos on how to hack their own Wii. Seems to me I am in a pickle. I need to connect the internet, the router cable is not matched to the Wii's holes. Then, ditch your Wii out and hack it.

you can use internet connection.trust me when i say this: hackerx always explains best. so does bish but he can degenerate you at the same time, the damn meany.basically, you don't necessarily need an internet connection to the wii (you will definitely need one for the computer)there are three formats the wii reads: .bot .dol and .wad.bot and .dol are what the homebrew programs use to hack in your wii. wads are like wii ware games and IOS modifiers. (basically, you modify the IOS which are stuck in the Wii to make it homebrewed). if you haven't got the net on your wii, you'll have to use wads corresponding to the IOS.follow the simplisticmod guide on gbatemp.com. as said to numerous people here, it allows you to download a preset package onto your SD card, which you can then stick in the wii and follow the instructions. ive mentioned it in a few places, like post no.7http://www.dgemu.com...howtopic=449446also, you can't stick an internet cable into the wii. it is purely wireless. either get a wireless router or get a Nintendo usb wifi connector. hope this helps.

I did all what he said but, when it reads the Card Slot, I checked it but, it doesn't read all of the stored data I place in! I even tried going FAT32 (Formatting). But, still nothing happened. Can you help this situation?

Hmm... I am most utterly confused. I used that method and have gotten away unscathed. It is however designed for virgin wiis, which mine was at the time. I am also under the assumption that you had modded the Wii a bit beforehand. Best try one more time with everything removed, so as everything is freshened up, and if it doesn't work look toward another method. I'm sorry I haven't become anymore help. You should download LoadMii. I don't know why I just suggested that. Send a PM to Hackerx, as he is the best person to help you.

Well, formatting the Wii may help (somehow) because, it's in 3.4EUpdate: I manage to install correctly. Then, the HBC was right but, I receive errors on the Trucha Bug which didn't let me play the NTSC games.Update 2: After the mess right after Modify 4.2 Firmware, I know the HBC isn't there, how can I restore it? Because, a heavy mess happened, I have to format it.

Hmm... First of all, update to Firmware 4.2. That will be the first step, if not already.Secondly, get rid of everything. After reading your last post, I am under the assumption that you were in 3.4, which is incompatible with SDHC. But basically, remove all Homebrew from your SD/Wii (make sure to make a backup of the stuff just in case)Reply when complete. I actually have a few wiis to brew so we are basically on the same page here.

Thanks, the final step is to download some backup disc launchers like Neo Gamma and Soft Chip. Bascially, I see how it is formatted. The directory suppose to follow this:SD/Applications/Application's Name/Must have these programs:boot.dol/elfmetaiconSo, I had those done, but, I recently got a backup disc game of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles but, I tested it out first whether it work or not. So far, test result is failure, I needed those backup DVD Launchers. Yet, the HBC didn't read my applications. I followed the format well then, place in required programs for one app. What could it be? Naming of the Application or something else?UPDATE: Modifying Wii PAL is now complete. Now on stage of downloading applications for Wii.UPDATE 2: The System Upgrade has on my Wii today, so I accepted it. Nothing else and hunted some HBC Applications.
