Lately there has been a serious lack of challenging platforming in any game that isn't just a platformer (Uncharted 2 for example) and theres even a bigger lack of challenging or even decent puzzles, I know it's because some ppl just really suck at puzzles and if they include them in a game with any challenge it will lose sales but I don't get the platforming part, at any rate the whole thing just sucks, since when did ppl being idiots be an excuse to make a bad game, oh yea since halo
Anyone else hate there is never any challenging puzzles in games, or even platforming

Try playing Zelda games. That series will change your opinion.

The Golden Sun series which i started playing recently has a bunch of puzzles. I doubt it has anything else. That makes it really fun and enjoyable and makes it easily playable even for casual gamers.

Well I personally like Halo but, I get what your saying. If you play original Japanese games they will often be harder than the American version. This is because Japanese games that don't filter their level will usually get smashed by American reviewers for being too hard of a game. This is especially true for stradegy games. I remeber one of the Resident Evil games was dubbed to difficult so when they remade it they made the game easier and after you beat the game they had a more challenging mode, which was the defult diificulty of the original Japanese game. Games will lower their difficulty and still betold it is too hard. Before Shipping the last two Fire Emblem games to America, the games were stripped of their hardest difficulty and added an easier difficulty. The games were stilled deemed too hard for Americans. So I guess games are made bad for stupid people.

It's funny how this thread hits the problem on the mark. The mindless games that only worry about gross sales dumb down the difficulty and the story to make it more assessible. If you're looking for puzzles I'd suggest the Professor Layton gamesIf you're looking for a puzzle/ platformer I'd suggest the Legend of Zelda games

i agree with 2bigpigs, the golden sun series have tons of puzzles, some could take 1 minute, others half an hour. The puzzles were a huge bonus for me, still my favorite RPG even after fallout. also zelda has quite a few
