Alright, I know I'm not the one that should be posting something like this. However, I did want to check on something. I've noticed that you guys here at Dgemu have info about this game and part of this problem. but how many people have noticed that the roms flip out during the first quest of the game with almost 100% probability. I got to thinking this might actually be part of the Anti-piracy coding in the game the way that loop is with the DS version of Chrono Trigger. More or less it makes the quest that you get at the very start of the game to where you cant finish it, probably by removing an npc or the teleporter to go forward by. With the human's first quest it was a teleporter, I'm remotely sure of it being the same with casts. And I think its either that or a missing npc with the newman's starting quest. I just wanted to check this just in case, I mean it would be nice if that wasn't the case. If it wasn't it'd just be Bahamut's rom thats the problem at least for the US version.

Did you try opining the treasure chest that the boss left. I had to do that to get the teleporter to show up on the casts first quest. I don't remember if it was the same with the humans first quest though.

I read that using a japanese save and renaming it is working for some people. On my m3izero flashcart the game blanks out after the opening sequence so I can't confirm that :rifle:

Hmm... Odd I haven't heard of this yet. I am a few hours into the game using my R4 without encountering any problem. Could you tell us which flashcart you're using and of course the version of the firmware? As I'm the only one who updates the list, I also need to keep it up to date with the patches, which I sometimes forget, because a few patches for the online AP have been made. So it's back to updating the topic for me....

Thats because you guys are using carts and the game reads the DS's internal programing. A rom run on an emulator would more likely trigger something like this. I mean, I find it hard to believe that one would have that problem 6 or 7 times in a row. I've even tried deleting the character. Most times theres no boss teleporter, but most of all that one problem alone shows up on all three sets as of last night. So I'm wondering if Bahamut didn't remove the coding because the rom would have froze other wise? If that were the case, would using the DS bios thats on this site in the emulation section be a fix to this or not?

I'm also playing this on no$gba 2.6a with the bios and ngzoom and I have yet to encounter that problem. I do the mission kill the boss and open the treasure chest. After that the teleporter appears. If using the bios dos'nt help try using the xpa dump of the game.

Alright, I'll try with the bios. Just in case since I've only found Bahamut's version of the US release where would I get the other?^^; Alrighty, thanks for the help you guys. Those using a rom need the bios and firmware for this game to bypass the anti-piracy coding. since the emulator itself doesn't have these it triggers when it doesn't find them. For all of you who have this problem using an emulator this would probably work. Just passed the first quest with help from these two files.

i downloaded the two bios files from the pinned no$gba topic. I put them in the same directory as the emulator and it still crashes after the first cutscene.am I doing something wrong?

I forgot to mention I'm also using the firmware. Try that too and if that doesnt work try a different version of the rom. There are two dumps of it xpa and bahamut. I cant remember witch I'm using.
