I think the SP is the obvious choice. The built in backlight was a godsend back in the day, and I had this little rubber add-on that gave it a more comfortable gameboy advanced feel.So yeah, SP all the way.

I had both a GBA and an SP, and I gotta say I liked the GBA more for the feel (plus I had a plug-in light which made it worthwhile to use in the dark).

i prefer the gameboy sp because you could choose whether the screen was bright or dark and its fairly small and easy to carry around

would say the gba sp is the best because you can recharge it and close it to fit in you're pocket like a lap top

I like the sp because it folds down which protects the screen and it has the backlight which is AWSOME, but your hands are too close together i find, which makes the traditional GBA take the edge for the more comfortable grip, accessories with lights can compensate for not having a backlight

Game boy Sp with a little Grip slip on that gives it a better feel in the hand. Best of the Gameboy line. Has the feel of an advanced, and a back light. What more could you ask for?

GBA SP because it has back lights on and folds after the playing. In fact, it seems to be an upgraded version of first Advanced version

SP.It's light and compact, and has a backlight.Only problem is that there's less space to hold the console.

i think sp is the best. advance is a bit bulky, and micro... i dont know why they made it, wayyyy tooo small of a screen and not really worth the money especially when u could buy a ds and play on a big screen (or use emulators )

The SP is the best in terms of gaming because of how comfortable it is to use and the fact it has a back light. The Micro looks the coolest though lol

I always used my SP more when I got it, because it was smaller, and it had the backlight. It made the actual portable aspect of it more convenient.

the original GBA is in a nicer shape to hold than the SP thoughI'm biased xP because I have GBA and not SP

I have a a GBA SP and my mom has a GBA . I find that the GBA screen is hard to see with out a light

SP all the way. The grip gets a little annoying as it made my hand cramp sometimes, but the rechargeable battery and backlight blow the GBA out of the water. The micro is too small for me to even hold.

What is GM micro? I never heard of one of those! I owned a GBA SP, i got it because i thought it was the better of the 2. GBA SP was the best because it had a flip screen and this could be used to protect the screen! XD

Yeah, I would have to agree, the backlight is a really important additional feature. I have 2 original GBA's and the screen is really hard to see unless you are near a light source where you can tilt the screen at exactly the right angle so the light hits it. This makes it nearly unplayable in any poorly or even moderately light area. Although I guess which GBA is the best isn't really an issue now since we just use emulators on the computer now.

I personally liked the GBA SP more because of its back light so whenever I went to go sleep I played my gba games on my sp instead  It also works wonders with glare from the sun if your outside, or on a road trip...

I agree with everyone who liked the GBA SP best. That backlight was such a major upgrade from the gameboy and gameboy colors. I never owned the original GBA, so I just skipped straight to the good model.
