Well, it's seriously scary for all the predictions to be coincidental, but well, we still gotta live our 2 years if it's really true. I will prefer to believe it's fake of course

I actually watched the movie at the cinema and I thought the graphics and effects were really good, you get to see in detail of the building falling down crushing the thousands of people.. dont think I'll watch it again tho..However, one thing I really thought was funny was that after I watched the movie and told my sis, she told me that, after the movie came out NASA had to came out and did a conference to convince people that the world is NOT coming to an end and that the facts stated in the movie wont be happening for a long long time around thousands of years.

The whole thing sprouted from what, the Mayans? If I remember correctly, it's just that their numbering system rolls at that date.

If one were to ask a Mayan descendant if December 21, 2012 marked the end of the world, the Mayan would ask "Where did you get such ideas? No." The movie says that the Mayans confirmed that this day was to be the Earth's final; media hype is going to cause a panic over such crock. Besides, the Mayans were eventually conquered by the Spanish Conquistadors. Calendars need to end at some point, as well. So, I don't believe the end of the world will come on that day.

The mayan codice has the image that signals that, but the whole interpretation scientists around the world have given it can go pretty far from the truth. There's a theory (the one I'm most inclined to believe) that there will be some sort of "galactic dawn" on that day, some sort of cosmic alignment or something, that'll create a massive amount of energy, and that humanity will either destroy itself or evolve to something better. Bottom line, maybe, maybe not. I always had the feeling I'd be there to see the end anyway

I personally don't believe in the prophesy that says the world will end in 2012, but if I'm wrong I'll just sit back, relax, and watch everyone else run around in a panic induced frenzy.

The world can't end on December 21, 2012, because by then, in some other part of the world, it will already be December 22. XP Duh!

I think its a load of crap, if you think about it which 2012 marks the end of the world cause every place has a different time zone for that day on 2012 so it either starts that day or before or what.

Basically,no,I don't think the world will end on 2012,but there are multiple interpretations on the phrase 'end of the world' for me.Some people will think that it means the world itself will end or die.After seeing the movie,now to me,it just means that all the people in the world will die,not that the world itself will die.That means that,if all the people die,it doesn't mean the world itself died,no.And besides,if the human race is extinct,we could always just count on evolution to recreate everyone,but that's besides the point.All in all,no,I don't think the world will end on that year.

personally i don't believe the world will end in 2012but i'm not God so i can't really say what would happeni just really think it would suck if the world did end because that's going to be my senior year of highschool and no better graduation present than having the world end in a firey explosion am i right?

I wish that it will happen. its kind of funny though because they say the world wil end on dec 21 2012 but my 18th birthday is dec 22 2012. il never be an adult lol
