When wii came out for the first time it was really really popular and within an hour they were all sold out. Even the grown ups were getting them and started playing them as soon as they got home from there nearest game shop. But today has changed. This is because of all the crappy games that are coming out, such as Carnival games, and there isn't any more good games out at the moment (more likely forever). At the time there was really awsome games on the Wii such as Metroid Prime 3, Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart and ofcourse Super Mario Galaxy but now there isn't ay games like them today. The young kids would love any game on the Wii but what about the older kids. They want awsome games. But they can't because there still waiting in there bloody room at home waiting for awsome games on the Wii. I mean c'mon, we can't keep playing the same popular game all the time. I'm 15 and i'm still waiting for good games. So in my opinion i reckon the Wii is so not good but at the time it was. I'm not gonna bother playing my Wii anymore until there are good games.THE WII USE TO BE GOOD BUT NOW IT'S CRAP AND BORING. The wii is a decent system, but in my opinion, Nintendo of America have been neglecting the more hardcore gamers, and trying to target the casual gaming audience more. Which I really dislike to be honest.So though there are a few good quality games with a little more substance to them. The majority of the Wii games can get really boring pretty fast. If you're a more hardcore gamer, I would suggest going for the PS3, or even an XBOX360, for the simple fact that the games that are being released for those consoles will probably be more enjoyable to you. Also, if you're a gamer who enjoys playing a lot of Mature rated games, I would definitely say pass on the Nintendo wii.

Well duh. The Nintendo Wii wasn't exactly made to cater a hardcore gamer. It fully revolves around family entertainment. I can actually prove it too. The Wii has had more sales (I think that still stands today) in which 60% was made by children, the other 40% of sales being adults. With probable regards to the other 5th Gen consoles, the ratio would be more like 90-10. Also, PS3 and XBOX360 players tend to have most multiplayers as Online play, where as most Wii Games multiplayerwise tend to played in groups and parties in the same room (not online). It really depends on the genre of games you play though... To be honest, I own all 3 consoles of the latest generation, and currently, I play the PS3 the most, seconded by my 360, and lastly, my Wii.The games available on the 2 other consoles suit my gaming genre better, but the Wii has its own select set of good titles.Although I play with the Wii a lot less, I wouldn't go as far as saying it is a bad console. Though Nintendo has released a smaller game library geared towards hardcore games vs their sheer amount of casual games, they chose their own path and they are succeeding at it.Tales of Symphonia 2 is on the Wii, Punch Out is on it, and other such great titles, and what I love the most is the virtual console. (I am an old school gamer~)

I don't think the wii is a bad console at all, I actually own one myself.But my post was more aimed towards someone who, let's say doesn't own any of the next gen consoles currently. Depending on the types of games they like to play, and how much they like to get really deep into their games, well then the Wii probably shouldn't be their choice for their first next gen console. I'm not saying they should avoid it all together.I do research what i'm saying, I don't just pull things from the air. I know that the Wii currently has the most sales, but I personally don't think that means too much. I care more about the games that are being developed for the system. Also, the first thing i pretty much acknowledged was that the wii was being targeted to a more casual audience. Also, I read your list, and have played quite a few of those games. In my opinion however, the majority of those games are just spin-off games of an original series which has been successful, and a large portion of those games, though they may be entertaining for awhile, I don't feel are really that good as a stand-alone game. It's ok but honestly with ps3 being 300 bucks and wii 200 just splurge and get the better system. Wii gets boring because they have such family friendly games plus they dont have little big planet.

there are alot of good games coming out for wii this year, and a couple from last year like zelda twillight princess, mario galaxy 1 and 2, super mario wii, and metriod the other m.

the system is wonderful, just not as challenging as old nintendo titles, 360/ps3 for shooters and rpgs mainly, but nintendo has always been about fun, even to the point of sacrificing the challenge, and in a few rare cases the quality

The wii is one of the coolest gaming consoles ever. The graphics might not be so good on the menu wii fit, or wii play. But you can get some of the coolest games such as super smash bros brawl which includes all of the Nintendo characters ever created. You can get the coolest ascesories such as the bowling ball for the remote, the nerf collection for games such as wii sports and many others. So look to the bright side and go Nintendo!

I would definatley get a wii if I didn't already have one. It is so much fun and I love it how I can still play my countless gamecube games on the wii.If you do have gamecube games and still like them but also want to play wii games, then I would most certainly get this awesome console.
