Firstly, there will be the delivery in the red post boxes, which if you win (or don't win) the competitions (by posting membership cards or something, I forget) you get ship parts. Secondly, I think the chests in the Ocean King Temple reset everytime you leave, of which some are ship parts. Another method would be using cheat codes on R4CCE (you never said no flashcarts).
Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?
