The best character for me is Pikachu. He's cheap, but he gets the job done effectively.

i would say lucaryio and mario both are good to be and fun to use in the game

Ike's usually my favorite since the big sword can really knock people around, but samus is also fun since i'm a huge metroid fan, and despite a few times where i've run off the screen by accident, sonic is pretty fun too, though his smash is a bit hard to control

In all of the Smash Bros. games, Link was alway my favorite character because I'm a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda. Originally I was best with Fox. Then when Melee came out, Marth became my number 1, with his quick and percise blade and freakin' sweet costumes, as well as swift feet. Even after Brawl was released, Marth still was the best (in my opinion). Also, from Brawl and Melee, Fox and Falco were characters I enjoyed playing. Wolf although he is a good character, I'm not very good with him...
