Final Fantasy 9, my first RPG and the first one I beat too. It's always been my favorite and I always defend it as the best Final Fantasy.

final fantasy series, golden sun (1 and 2), jak and daxter series, kingdom hearts (only the first one) and of course the pokemon games

Yeah Jak and Daxter and Kingdom Hearts are the games that take me back. The Pokemon games don't take me back and the first game i played was Pokemon Gold.

Amen. That game got me hooked on the series when I was young. If they make new ones melee and brawl will end up holding memories. I played these games every day for a long time!

Tales of Symphonia. Going back just reminds me how worth it the 80+ hours I spent on that game were.

I think Crash Bandicoot, for the first playstation, brings back the most memories of my childhood. I was an avid collector of all the games, and I remember playing for hours just to get every single purple crystal and wumpa fruit xP

I have happy memories of games that do ambience really well. Earthbound for the SNES, for instance, does a really good job of pulling the player into the world and making him or her feel like the experiences are meaningful. I get goosebumps when I think of the opening scenes, with the main character being woken up by a knocking at his bedroom door.

If i REALLY had to choose, i think I'd go with Conker's Bad Furday. Not because it was an Epic, or anything liek that. And not for the adult-ish themes.but because it was so god damn fun. It was like banjo Kazooie on crack. Not to mention the hillarious story.
