I think it would be good, but may make games alot more complicated. The single player modes may better though, and on games like fifa i think it would be good.

what about ones with just one big screen? but i guess two screens keep it more compact. any way it would be a good idea.

That would be good, but for two player games only.If you tried playing a game that uses both touch screens,it can be too hard,or complicated,or both. This is just my opinion though.

I think it would be really complicated, but if the games make good use of it, it would be really great

That would be cool, but I worry enough about scratches and one screen breaking. That would make me doubly paranoid! http://www.dgemu.com...tyle_emoticons/default/sad.gif

I believe that they already released a two-touch screen version of the DS in Japan. That being said, since most of the games that have been released are only single screen, I think that 95% of the time most people would be playing with one screen only anyway. At least until all of our DSlites/DS/DSis die and we buy the two screen model.

Yup, two touch screens would make two player games the pwn. Battleship DS anyone? :bish:It's a nice idea, but since majority of the time we'll be playing single player frankly it's gonna be a waste of money on research and development on nintendo's part.

yeah its simply not feasible as most of the touch screen stuff is just squeezed into a lot of games it would be even more gimmicky if they tried to use 2

Personally, I'd find a two-screened model of the DS where one player has to use both screens to be highly overwhelming. Not because I'm a poor gamer (because I'm not), but because it would just be too much going on all at once I think.

?You'd still only be using one hand to hold it and one to touch either the top and bottom screen. Don't be a smartass when you're no good at it.

I actually hope they drop the "dual screen" thing. I know that only one touch screen and gyroscope would make a DS2 just like an iPhone, still I would invest in other technologies rather then another screen. Also, the camera is a given...

I think that would be nice if DS have an e-book feature. So we hold it vertically and touch the right screen and then drag it left to turn to the next page and the left screen for the vise versa.

Of course! This feature would be really useful and better on some games (like Mario Party and Zelda) since i often "acidentally" touch the upper screen instead of the bottom one.

yeah, to be honest, i feel like 2 screens are unnecessary for a lot of the games.

no, if both were touch screens it would be too complicated . I think ds should stay the way it is.

well, both touch game-play would be quite hard and usefull for some games, so it rly depends, I personally would like 2touch screens too, its kinda anoying, when i cant press the upper when it would be faster like that , than pressing the options at down screen ._.

nah, i think if both screen were touch-enabled, it would be more complicated. :/ it's enough using one screen to touch and watching on the other screen, but it's gonna take so much more effort for both touch screens...

That would be an interesting dynamic, I would love a two touch screened DS, even if it did amp up the difficultly level. Actually, at some points it may make thing easier, like in Mario games when Peach jumps to the second screen.

Possibly. In some RPG, there may be a map in the top screen, and your player somewhere in the made-up world at the bottom. Or there may be an inventory in the top screen. But it would make a slight bit less time-consuming if you could touch both screens, so you can click the top screen while keeping the bottom screen focused on the same thing. Exploring land would be easier, and so would be checking for items, etc. Well, it wouldn't do much, but something is better than nothing :D I also think it would be good to make 2 touch screens, but games that only operate on one screen systems but can go on a two screen system. If one touch screen gets too damaged (like mine) for instance, you can use the other touch screen. :D

Wayyyy too complicated not to mention that the screens are gonna get scratched a lot more. When there is more good multiplayer games maybe but for now i prefer 1 touch screen.

I'd think that it'd be a pitiful waste, as most companies don't bother using touch screen for that much, and two screens for touch is just overkill.

I dunnoI kinda like having one touch screensure itd add depth and more complexity to a game while simplifying controls, but the D-Pad is so amazingXDand now that 3DS is coming out, theres an analog pad too, which would work somewhat as well as another touch screen
