I suggest the nintedogs or cats or pets or horses. or try princess barbi or my little pony acing or something. those games go over well. I have a 7 year old neice with a ds so that is what I suggest. also see if you can get some learning games like "read and spell" not an actual game but you get the drift.

laugh out loud, I'm amazed it took this long for someone to mention the Imagine series in this thread.Seriously though, what interests your daughter most? There's DS games on just about EVERYTHING at this point...we could gladly help point you in the right direction!

Monopoly , scrabble, Sorry!, Chutes and Ladders. 6 years old = too young to play DS games. Or you could get her Harvest Moon. Learn responsibility by caring for the farm!

Working on Knights in the Nightmare. Going to get around to Rondo of Swords. Hoping to find inspiration for Etrian.

My daughter (7) loves Littlest Pet Shop. We have the Garden version, but there are a lot of different ones. She loves to collect "Kibble" in the games and buy things. She also likes Nintendogs, Petz, Animal Doctor. You'd be surprised at what appeals to kids. My son (5) can't read yet and he still gets around pretty well on a lot of the games geared towards older players. He's very much into the "it" characters (Kung Fu Panda, etc.) rather than the skill required. And since he can't read I'm surprised that he gets as far as he does on some of the games.

Nintendogs and Animal Crossing (2 animal games)Mario Party Ds (everyone loves it and easy and fun to play)Pokemon Platinum (VERY POPULAR AND FUN HIGHLY RECOMMOND THIS ONE plus she'll never get tired of this one. I've played Pokemon games for ten years! It's not too addicting. its just right you won't have her another game)brain age 2 (If you want a smart child)Sribblenauts (provides imagination)

They've pretty much said all the good kiddie games just about anybody would enjoy and maybe even adults. But mostly go for the Mario genre games and Nintendogs along with Animal Crossing. There are about 5 or 6 versions of Nintendogs out there, it doesn't matter which one you get- they're all the same thing. The only difference are the breeds you can choose to raise from the beginning of the game but you can unlock the rest of the breeds in every game. Good luck with your kiddo, they're darn picky these days =p
