You have to buy a DS battery from Gamestop. It would cost about fifty dollars. Mine broke before so I bought a new battery.

Are these even purchasable by a consumer? I thought you could only send them in to Nintendo (specially if you don't want to void your warranty).

Nintendo does have a spare parts service, Im not sure on the price. You can also buy a 3rd party battery for your DS.

You can always buy a cheap DS at a yard sale if you can find one. If you prefer your own, just take the battery out of the other one! Otherwise you need to send it into Nintendo.

Just get one off eBay. You're looking at something like 33% of the price you'd get it for from a Nintendo shop.

For reference to anyone else that has a dead battery and is willing to wait about 1 month or so for shipping, Dealextreme has replacement DS batteries and chargers for very cheap.Doesn't last as long as an original NDS battery, but hey, it's only 2.90$It comes with the triwing screwdriver so that you can take it apart.http://www.dealextreme.com/p/replacement-850mah-lithium-battery-pack-for-nds-13321If ever you guys break a charger, you can get a replacement for 3.19$http://www.dealextre...100v-240v-22381

Last time I saw a ds battery able, was at RadioShack for $20. That was back in 2003. If there is a Radioshack near where you live, you could ask if they have them. What version is it? Is it a ds, ds lite, dsi, dsi XL, or 3ds?
