I lent my DS once to a friend who doesn't have one. That friend really enjoyed playing it and I got it back eventually.I was wondering if any of you let someone else borrow your own DS.

I let my special ed cousin play with my ds. He saw fingerprints on the touch screen and washed it! Later, he gave it back to me and it never worked again. My cousin has antisocial.

I let someone play my DSi for a few minutes, but that is about it. I keep it close to me. Especially since it costs so much.

I used to share my consoles, my handhelds and games quite happily, until my best friend at the time somehow managed to delete the entire contents of my Gamecube memory card. Considering that I'd only just finished one of my games the other day and was looking forward to going back and finishing off anything else I could do on the file, I was understandably upset. From that day, nobody touches my consoles unless I'm in the room, games do not get lent if the saves are self-contained within them and hand helds don't even leave my presence. If I go out of the room, DS goes in my pocket and comes with me.

I lent it to my little brother and my brothers kids a few times, then I got scured and kept it to myself (after the scratches). But if a friend would want to borrow it, I would give it to them for a while, but with the words "you break it you buy it".
