Two Christmases ago, I purchased a Leapster2 for my son (4 years old at the time) and a DSlite for my daughter (6 at the time). The Leapster is more educational based (reading and math) whereas the DS teaches other skills (problem solving, patience, perseverance, gaming, etc.) Obviously, they are two different platforms as far as learning is concerned. Does anyone know of any good educational games? I would say for kids but learning applies to adults too!(Sorry if this is a repeat of a topic. I tired to search for previous threads before posting but I received an error message that the Search function was taken offline by an Administrator).

MindTrap is an excellent and challenging game. my daughter and i love to play it. The rest of the family isn't intellectual enough to catch on.

As far as educational games, I really like logic island. I think it really helps develop different parts of your brain than the other brain games out there. I also think that it really is a lot of fun and quite addicting. Another one that I like is Big Brain Academy which I think is more tailored to kids. One more that I think is really good is bookworm and scrabble to help with vocabulary stuff.
