In GA, or maybe it's just my county, it's legal to get a tattoo under 16 so long as there is a written form of consent from a legal guardian. So yeah. I totally would. If I could find one I liked enough.

I would never get a tattoo just for the reason when you get older, its gonna look really bad. it'll start to sag with the rest of your skin and its going to look disgusting. especially if you can't cover it up. I've seen it before, and just puts me off tattoos. that and i really hate needles!

No. There is nothing i like long enough to have it imprinted on my body. They look unprofessional and make you easily identifiable.

I won't get a tattoo, since I am already jumpy around needles. Plus...other than laser surgey, or if a temporary tatto is got...those things will be with you untill you die.

To be honest, I don't really see the point in permanent tattoos. They look really disgusting once your skin starts to wrinkle and sag, and what if one day you get tired of having it there - you can't do anything about it. But if you want a tattoo really bad for some meaningful reason or to celebrate your independence or something, you can always do henna or just something temporary. Sharpie lasts a long time. I can't imagine a circumstance in which it would be worth the pain, the money, the time, or the regret later. It's not like a piercing - even those will usually close up after a while. And what if it looks really great in your head, but really lame on your skin? I'm not saying you shouldn't take risks or anything, but I don't think it's worth it. And for me, tattoos remind of murderers that get a tear permanently tattooed next to their eye - which is really ominous if you ask me.Posted Image

I don't think a tattoo as too terrible a thing, but obviously some go beyond the concept of explicit. Those are the ones employers obviously try to tell you to hide. And also controversial things like religion or politics which could lead to disputes. However, I would get one and wouldn't judge anyone that got similar.

I'll probably get a tattoo after medical school...a reminder of all the obstacles I had/have to overcome and to never give up =]

Probably not, since I was told by a friend that employers do judge you if you have tattoos. As someone who never really stays with one thing for too long, it wouldn't be long at all before I got tired of it...

I think tattoos are just another form of art and it looks cool sometimes. But personally, I wouldn't just because I am not the kind of person who wants to get a tattoo.

I am turning 18 in less than a month and I plan on getting a tattoo once I turn 18. I'm getting a tribal pattern down my right arm that fades from red to black.

No...no...no...and to clarify no. I think most look tacky....they become ugly once you age....it's to permanent for my liking....and to top it all off I absolutely hate needles. Some don't look bad if their small and of a decent nature but I would never want one.
