Lately I have been seeing alot of dis-satisfied customers regarding game purchases these days. So if you had a choice to make your favorite developer focus more on one specific topic of their games, which one would it be and why? I always vote gameplay should come before Anything else because if the game isnt fun, all the other effort seems wasted to me.Please note that this will be their main focus, so all other points will possibly suffer from it.

Gameplay and how enjoyable it is.But I would get quite cross if i reached a point where i find it impossible to go further,The story contributes a lot to gameplay so that would come in 2nd.And if first impression really is the best impression then they'd better have a great trailer,Box art and Graphics.

Lately I've found that my quality standards for games have been much higher due to the amount of great quality games around. Assassins Creed 2, Batman Arkham Asylum and Uncharted 2 showed me that if developers put enough effort into all of the categories listed, they can make the perfect game with an amazing story, great gameplay that also delivers on the notion of replayability with amazing graphics and a musical soundtrack that doesn't make you want to mute the music.I find that the problem is that no developer needs to focus more on any one of the particular sections above, they just need to spend more time on developing games. The ones I listed above, Assassins creed 2, Batman Arkham Asylum and Uncharted 2 all took 2 or more years to make them the quality they are now. In 2 months I'll have Final Fantasy 13 and already the quality levels are through the roof compared to any other game. The reason? Final Fantasy 13 has been in development for 4 years! Its not a matter of picking any one of the areas listed, but generally spending more time across the whole board. A great example in comparisson to the quality of Uncharted 2, would be to pick a game based off a movie and I'll choose Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen for the PS3, I found it fun to play through and every now and then I get a twing to wanna play it again, but it doesn't hold up to my expectations. The reason? Transformers was only in development for a few months due to the targeted release date of having to come out at the same time as the movie. In order to deliver the same quality as Uncharted 2, Transformers would have to go into development 2 years before the movie was actually released. Now as for the vote, I voted for replayability mostly because I feel that replayability covers a wide range. If the gameplay is terrible, I won't wanna replay. If the story is terrible, I won't wanna have to sit through it again no matter how good the gameplay is. If the graphics are an eyesore, I won't replay. And i love listening to good music while playing a game an a beautiful soundtrack that matches the game will always make me wanna replay. Sometimes I go through and play some of Assassin Creeds race missions over and over just to listen to the Venice Rooftops theme. Therefore, by choosing to improve playability all other aspects of the game need to be worked on further because if any other section doesn't hold up the quality set out, then it can't reach its potential.Lets map it:Transformers ROTF - Less than one year production time - game ratings average between 6 and 7, sometimes lowerUncharted 2, Assassins Creed 2, Batman Arkham Asylum - two years or more production time - 9 and aboveFinal Fantasy 13 - 4 years production time - An early reviewer stated that he wanted to give the game 120 out of 100 because it honestly deserves itTime is money. Spend more time on making a game, you'll end up with a much better game and will sell millions of copies making a lot of money.

More of a story and gameplay person. I hate games that used graphics as a gimmick for sales.

What I look for in a game is good quality graphics, but if the game does not have a good story it wont be very re playable and not to many people will continue to be on it.For example Diablo 2 does not have that good of graphics because its an old game, but the story line is great and thousands of people are still online daily.

I think they need to stress more emphasis on the storylines and the gameplay, personally. I can't really get that into a game these days it seems like unless it has a good storyline that holds my interest, but if it has a fantastic storyline and sh**ty gameplay, I won't waste my time on it either. The two need to go hand in hand. Everything else is just a plus.

To me, everything contributes to a game, but Story is the most important. A game with incredibly stunning graphics, nice gameplay, great music, but crappy storyline is just lame. Sure, graphics and gameplay are SUPER important, I agree, but without a storyline, things would be like lost kids trying to find their way back home.

Story...even if the game is full of crappy graphics..I would still enjoy it...I like the story over anything else. I do enjoy the pretty graphics and music, and voice acting tho.

It's hard to say. I know games with awesome gameplay (Batman AA), games with awesome story (Dragon Age), but there's not a single game I would play purely for graphics.Okay, I admit I started playing Crysis because I heard it looks sweet, but I'm just love the gameplay. So in the end, I pick gameplay, because awesome gameplay means higher Replayability. Also, I hate marketing.

You've caused me to weep, you've caused me to mourn

You caused me to lose my home.
