If you don't have it, get it. Makes it soo much easier to make your way to your destination, not only does it show the closest way, it will tell you take a wrong turn as well :( Looove it.

But here all roads lead to some place and that's all we need.GPS navigation won't be so effective with all the random rules and roadblocks around here.

All roads lead to somewhere though.Welll maybe India is just unorganized when it comes to roads but here in Sweden it works perfectly.

You should hear my mother complaining, She is belgian and i guess she's used to good organized stuff And well mannered drivers,Not people who horn and jump in front of you and then sway in front of you. And the buses,The deadly buses!!!!

I don't drive, so not me personally. My dad has one, though. Ironically, he barely uses it and still insists upon using old fashioned paper maps.

I have never used GPS. So far it hasn't been necessary for me to use it.

Yeah, my family used it when we went to Cape Cod. It works like a charm, and if you take a wrong turn it'll give you directions to get back on track. It's way better than printing out directions from some map site.

I'm at a pretty early point in my driving career, so GPS is really necessary for my purposes.

I don't trust them. There's a chance they could lead you way off to a bad place. I've heard of a few people during Christmas who have been left stranded in snow-covered roads because the GPS told them to turn down a particular road and they got stuck.

GPS is yet another reason why people are getting more lazy. Why cant people use the skill 'map reading'!? If you can read a map properly, you dont need a GPS because you can easily memorize the route you're going. GPS also can distract you, i blame them for bad drivers! To busy listening to some stupid cyber woman then watching the road.

I'm personally not much of a fan myself, pretty much the same reasons as many others. And the fact that I don't drive. But i just mean to say that it could come in handy, that is to say if you have one that works accurate. Unlike a map, which you have to either study or let someone read it to you a GPS can be used without both. You do end up forgetting the road you've ride on, which is pretty much the only side effect.

I prefer not to drive by GPS. I would use known knowledge, or Google Maps if I didn't have a clue. The only thing my GPS is useful for is for detecting hidden speed cameras.

i don't usually use it... i like maps and knowing where and how to get where i'm going before i get in the car. i've used it once in a while, if i'm going on a road trip with friends then i'll get them to look at it and give me some directions.

I use it a lot when I'm driving. It really is handy when you're on some long lost road.

i'd rather learn how to get around by getting lost, but it's a waste of gas. I only use the gps if it talks in a british accent.

Basicly, if you get to used to a GPS and never learn how to read a map. What would you do if your GPS batteries die? You would be totally stomped, knowing my luck if i ever used a GPS it would die half way on my trip, in the middle of the country and i be stuck lol.Just another reason for it being better to be old school.

No, I do not own a GPS system. There are two reasons:1) I do not need one. I know my areas like the back of my hand.2) I can't afford one. :)

I got one in my mobile phone. That's very convenient, esp. when you go to a new place.

I have one, but I don't use it all the time. I'm fairly new to the area that I'm living in now, for reference. If I'm driving around my local city, I generally don't use it. I've learned enough of the streets at this point to have a fairly good idea of where things are. If I don't, google maps is sufficient to remind me what roads to take.If I'm driving further out, say to the 40 minute away major city with lots of interesting shops and streets, then I take the GPS, even if I know where I'm going. For one thing, if I decide I want to go eat, I can get a quick list of nearby places. My GPS also have traffic information, so if there's expected to be a large delay it can re-route me down roads that I just haven't had the time to experience driving down yet. From my standpoint, it would be harder for me to try and rustle around the glove compartment, grab a map, unfold said map, and read the map than to have the GPS just chirp up with a route change.

I only use the gps if it talks in a british accent.

I make mine speak with a british accent ^_^ Far more entertaining than the american accent.
