I think that the new gamecube graphics for zelda were horrifying comepared to my boxy n64 world, i liked twilight princess's graphics but the gamecube made link's head look way to bally, lmao if that makes sense to anyone?

I don't know, haven't played it myself (assuming you mean the link the "the legend of zelda Ocarina of time" remake edition), only time i saw link on the GC was on SSBM and i thought i looked rather good compare to his blocky counter part in the N64 series.

I think the OP is referring to Wind Waker. I actually really enjoyed the cel-shading (it's quite the upgrade from blocky N64 graphics) because it worked really well for that type of game. You see, if they cel-shaded Twilight Princess I think it'd betray what they are trying to portray (a dark, grim world). My only real gripe with WW is the sailing portion. I'm an impatient gamer and whenever a game has huge fields to traverse I get mildly annoyed. I start thinking, if I didn't have to go so far so slowly, I could be having more fun. *sigh* those game developers...

Well the Gamecube Zelda games really had that whole cartoony graphics set towards them. The Nintendo Wii graphics they have for Twilight Princess are much better. Doesn't make that Utopian world like WW was imho.

It shouldn't have stayed the same. I don't think graphics are that important, but they should try to improve them over the last systems. Otherwise, the technology just kinda goes to waste.

Guys, remember that Twilight Princess was a GameCube game, not a Wii one in all honesty. I like how they are changing the artstyles from game to game. I did like OOT's artstyle back in the day, but I think they should move on, and do things like what they're doing for Skyward Sword. That is to make the art style serve a purpose or emphasize important features of a character (aka motion controlled sword, etc.).

i agree. it's boring to play the same way, the same graphics and the same old story. for some times to experience new things it's good, or it will be sickening to play a game. ok i too didn't liked the zelda wind waker (because link was drawn strange), but now i'm used to it. maybe it's just a general uneasiness with new things...

Wind Waker has my favorite Zelda graphics ever! I think it was a shock to people at the time, who expected a more realistic look, but I for one loved them.Reason: the cel-shading is absolutely TIMELESS.10 or 20 years from now, Twilight Princess will look like crap compared to the games of the day. Wind Waker will still be gorgeous.Look at any random, "realistic"-looking Playstation 1 game today. That's what Twilight Princess will look like when we're used to much better graphics in the future. Now take a look at, say, Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES), or Yoshi's Island (SNES). Those games look great even today. They'll always look great. Why? Cartoony graphics just age MUCH better than realistic graphics.

i liked twilite princess despite most zelda fans bashing it. i mean it set in a alternate time period if u know an understand the chronology. i mean wen ur always releasing titles after the game regarded by most of the gaming community to b the best game of all time its hard to please evryone. graphics r going to evolve as technology does, its a given.
