For your zombie guide, zombieland has some really good pointers about surviving a zombie holocaust. Fortifying your house and live the rest of your life inside, may not be a good plan if the perimeter is covered by a large groups of zombies. It would be smart to have options of being able to make a fast escape if in case your fortified house has been invaded. Living beside a beach would be a good option. You'll have the option to escape by boat and have a steady supply of food. If you live near a lake, you'll have everything above including a steady supply of fresh water.Ammo in this world will be a highly coveted commodity. I would trade a carton of ammo for ten people who are very good with a gun (Think about it, what would a gun expert do against a room full of zombies without a GUN). Anyone who has functional fingers, eyes and ears can shoot. Unless the situation calls for it, I would then start shooting up zombies. Chainsaws, despite gaming and movie reference, is not something I would like to carry around. It eats up fuel which could be use for transportation or for running generators. Improvised weapons would be sufficient. A steel pipe with a sharpened end can be used as a makeshift javeline or be used for traps in hunting for game. Gathering survivors or doing the humane thing is without its risk. You will be adding up the mouths to feed which will shorten the span of your food supplies and you may risk a breach in your fortified base if one of them is infected (This is if the disease is spreadable via blood contact). Though added man power is very crucial when gathering for food, defending your base and other kinds of work. Medieval armors or steel armors........ is not a very smart commodity unless you have time to train yourself in moving around carrying all of that weight, even then though it's still not a smart commodity. When faced against a group of zombies, your best option is to be able to out run them and out maneuver them while taking them out one at time. Being in an armor destroys that option. Yes you will be able to withstand their bites and lashes, but they can easily overwhelm you while wearing the armor and pin you down (imagine being crushed by steel and 20 people) which will make it easier for them to remove your armor.

I would try to obtain a samurai sword,battle ready, like one that costs $13,000 or so,but untill thn id just use my dads guns that he has, and his katana and knives he has.my brother knoes a guy who has an anti tank gun at his house (its missing the trigger pin, but it can be re attatched)

That would be good as long as you got the ammo. I believe you can kill more than 1 zombie if they are lined up in a hallway with an anti tank gun. As for the Katana, well simply ask the store owner if it's authentic (ask for a certificate or have them demo the sword by having it slice a piece of paper or something). Once the apocalypse occurs, just simply make a beeline to the store and nab it before someone else does. Another thing about a zombie apocalypse is to never ever assume the same thing as the movies like shooting them in the head may or may not instantly kill them. Always go for an open minded attitude. As far as I can tell, zombies might be scientific of nature (ex. t-virus zombies) or supernatural zombies (ex. summoned zombies by necromancers) and there could be other causes of zombification that could be alien to us even in fiction. On the bright side when you are bitten and about to turn into a zombie.... In my opinion, it's not that bad at all. Zombies wouldn't feel pain as they slowly turn and their brain rots. Of course there will be fever, nausea and a really upset stomach, otherwise, there is a kind of zen moment when you die and start hunger for live flesh. I'm serious about this.

It'd be terrifying to try and survive a zombie apocalypse. Get bitten, kill the zombie and then wait to join the winning side.

Trying to survive on your own would be pretty dangerous/scary so I would probably just get a group of people and go to a deserted island to try to survive..

I'd live in an armored subsea bunker. The water pressure outside would reduce zombies to pulp. The geothermal reactors and the farms would keep me alive forever.

Crossbow would make very little noise and not attract other Zombies, and if you were out of bolts you could fasion new ones from wood if you had to...and I would probably get an ice pick or something else for close range. Ideally, lightsaber...

I would die. I'm pretty useless.I would love to be in a deserted island with good edible resources.Fighting wise, I don't know. I guess pot and pans since I don't have access to anything else.

Nice idea on making little noise as possible with attacking zombies, though a crossbow against a mob of zombies who are after you may not be favorable for your survival rate.

id go live off the land like indigenous peoples, maybe head up north and jam with the inuit as seeing zombies would freeze up there

That's some thinking. Zombies will have trouble traversing difficult terrain while being able to grow your own supply.

I would find a weapon first to defend myself. Then I would grab some food supplies, ammo(if i have a gun), and a means of transportation.
