That's one problem of snow. It's blinding! Then again, without snow the sun is still pretty blinding... Lucky for me, I have those polarized glasses. They work wonders.Has anyone went skiing and noticed when you gaze ant the snow without goggles, it is blinding? It reflects like all of the sun's light...

Yes, actually once I suddenly ripped off my goggles and felt something like a surge going through my eyelids. I hate when that happens. That's one problem of snow. It's blinding! Then again, without snow the sun is still pretty blinding... Lucky for me, I have those polarized glasses. They work wonders.

Yes well that was what i was talking about. It reflects it back to space. And with its high heat capacity and what not it is important that they do not melt.Snow may well serve a purpose in reflecting the sun's heat back and so it does help control global warming. But if the ice caps melt this means there will be a runaway, exponential warming effect.I heard something like that somewhere so i just thought i'd mention it.
