All depends on your style... when I first started amking sigs I set everything to either softlight or overlay, now lately I just don't change the opacity most of the time..it gives my bg's the best texture and depth IMO,all personal prefrence though

ive recently changed to a new style, i have 3-4 layers of bg brushingthen i pick 4 -5 parts of the sig and brush over them, 1 layer with white, 1 with black, both on soft light, then do a fill layer in the same area on top of that with either black or white and set to soft light. after that, i have a layer with some light brushing set to soft light on top. after that i have 2-4 colorbalance layers, a curves layer, a levels layer, and 1-4 brightness/contrast layers.after i put the render everything, i flatten the sig and go to filter>render> lighting effects and play around with those to add depth(sometimes i do that after the brushing and before the coloring)edit: oh and fa? are you ever on msn?
