Recently I had to go up against the Elite 4 in Pokemon Fire Red for the second time. Daaamn they had some improved stats, changed Pokemons and I was so not prepared for it. None of my Pokemons were over 60 and they had as high as 75
But, after a few tries and some abuse of TM's I got it done o.OEdit: added name of the game, forgot earlier!

The final boss Cacktella ghost in Mario superstar saga is the hardest boss i ever beat. You have to use both your mind and your techniques.

I reckon the Arena Tycoon is probably the hardest boss to beat in Pokemon Emerald when you're trying to get the Gold frontier symbol.

There was one boss in Final Fantasy Tactics where the first time you fight him you just have to survive for 5 turns, then the second time his protection is broken by the judge and he is still immune. All spells and physical attacks did no damage to him. Finally the only way I found out to damage him was to cast reraise on a defender and have him use self-destruct multiple times, doing that I barely won.Another boss that was somewhat difficult was the final boss in 'chain of memories' the first time. I had to level up to level 92 before I finally defeated him.
