It comes with Pokemon HeartGold/Soul Silver in the box so you don't have to buy it. You can't use it for a rom though so if you want it you have to buy the game.....And Von Karma sucks....he's an ass and you know it.

and, any of you already have pokewalker? i wanna know about your testimony I bought SS when it first came out even though i have a flashcardThe Poke walker is a little gimmickyBut very addicting at the same timeIt's main draw would be at the beginning of the game where decent starters are hard to findYou can catch onix,Cefairy and a few others easilyAnd depending on shocks of your ride it will quickly increase steps while ridding/driving in a carBut downside... When you transfer the poke back you lose all watt's and they go in a collection that's used to unlock path'shttp://www.serebii.n...ml#yellowforestOther than the yellow forest that's coming up i don't see much of a draw to the poke walker exclusives

What sucks is you can't use it with ROMs because the cartridge has an infrared port. That's really stupid, they should have just made it use the DSes built in wireless.I wonder, is there a way to use it? Maybe you would need a card with an Infrared port

If you want a pikachu with surf or fly, it might be worth it...but I didn't see anything to special beyond that. Gaining levels while walking is nice, i guess. but then you're not playing the game, so why have it?

Did you read what you just typed? You're thinking they'd honestly try and configure something to allow piracy to function with their device. I'll have you know that if Nintendo could be intelligent enough, they'd program their devices to such a level that it can't be modded or hacked at all. The same goes for every game company that doesn't care about home-brew projects which links indirectly with piracy. The pokewalker is nice, and I got a lanyard and a little Lugia figure with my purchase. Also, even though this is a site based around emulation, I should say that if you respect the product or the company, you should purchase the game. Without sales, none of these games would continue to be made. It's a positive thing to support companies' games. It may come in handy as Soulsilver and Heartgold progress as games, also.

Well, you can get many rare pokemon when you just start the games. When I got pidgey, (my first caught pokemon before first gym,) i put it in the pc and transfered it to pokewalker. I got kangaskhan for my third pokemon. so, it is pretty convenient.

The 'Poke Walker' just seems like a gimmick really. Something extra to buy, to get the full effect of the game. I never liked that. If you're going to charge full price for the game, include all game accessories

I have read somewhere that currently, the pokewalker is the most accurate step counter in the world, beating university created machines and it helps you to get some good pokemon early in the game, as long as you like to walk/jog around

Why not? There are some Pokemon that have some exclusive moves if they're caught in a certain Pokewalker route. Oh, and it's technically free coz it comes in the package when you buy SoulSilver and/or HeartGold. So you don't have much choice about buying it or not.
