Final Fantasy 13

Hi guys ive been playing the game for a few hours now and i need to clear something up before i proceed any further. There has been no sign of any chance of exploration, no sign of any towns and there just seem to be one long linear path which is exactly what Final Fantasy isnt so i just wanna know if anyone has either finished the game or got a little bit further than myself and tell me if its the same all the way through so i can throw the game at the wall and spout nasty words at how much Square Enix have killed the series off. Phew rant over cheers guys.

Everything I've read basically says that that's the whole game pretty much, thats one of the reasons I have no intention of getting it

idk thats kinda how the game is at some points but just keep proceeding

yeah i dont wanna be wastin ma time with a game that im not gunna enjoy. all the reviews have been mixed. cheers guys
