Vaan Cloud Sephiroth or Tifa are the best characters in final fantasy EVA

mine would be sephiroth (ff7) or vivi (ff9) i chose sephiroth cause he's less messed up than cloud (w8 did i say that right?) and i also chose vivi (i an tell if he's got a cute chubby face or a severely messed up one) he's also mega good in RC grand battle in WCIII.
Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

Cloud, I think the amount of impact this game has had on the gaming world would definitely make him my favorite. Mysterious and brave, it took over a decade for us to complete or even update this story in a huge sense. Very awesome game and character.

Kefka would kill everyone, at the end of the game he practically became a god.My favorite character though, would have to be Locke.

My favorite Final Fantasy Character would have to be Cecil from Final Fantasy IV. Short answer is because he is a Paladin and I think Paladins rock harder than SlipKnot. The long answer would have to be something similar to the ideas of these two posters.
Of course, he got his best friend back and they kicked the living (and unliving) crap out of Zeromus. I don't really know if the story has more depth than others from the series, but I love the idea of one so immersed in the dark being able to pull themselves up out of the pit they dug for themselves.Plus Cecil Harvey isn't like the main characters that show up in later games. Bartz and Terra I really don't have much of a gripe with. I'm talking about the guys that have showed up since FFVII. It seems that the best way to have a main character in a Final Fantasy game these days is to have a sword wielding apathetic, whiney, or both punk with spikey hair. The first few times it was novel, but now it is just annoying. I seriously hope that XIII has a different kind of hero for the main character. Otherwise, it will be a long ride for me.Well, to be honest, the best character with the best background story would have to be, Cecil, he was so confused, with all his anger as a dark night, and yet, he managed to become a Paladin, the complete opposite, but he did lose his best friend and almost lost the one he loved... much better story depth, than all the other characters from the final fantasies
I really have to agree with this one. I don't know if that is because I was going through a really tough time in my life when I first played FFIV, or if it is just that I really like the tragic nature of it all. I'm a really big fan of tragic stories, and this group of people risking everything in some cases in the face of terrible odds in order to help bring about an age of light and justice to their world really fits the bill. I look at some of the things that these characters had to go through and ask myself if the problems that I face in my day to day life are really that bad. It could be worse, much worse. These characters and their plights make that idea very clear to me. If they can face down world shattering evil, I can face down some personal economic setbacks. We all can.Fare thee well,Belkracecil, kain, rydia, tellah, edward, rosa, yang, palom, porom, cid, edge, fusoya and golbez. yup the entire cast of final fantasy iv. the later final fantasy's just never endeared themselves to me as much as this group

personally i dislike squalli dig sephiroth, my fav bad guyand rikku, she got the looks but i like her more for her funny childish behaviour

FF isn't exactly my favorite game series, but it's alright. There's quite a few characters that I liked throughout the series.FF4 - Both Cecil and Kain. Cecil managed to turn away from what he was doing to do what he felt was the right thing, and overall was quite an interesting character. Kain...Kain I felt got kinda shafted. He went "bad" because of his jealousy and generally not being noticed for his efforts, and also hated himself for feeling the way he did about his best friend's girl (Rosa). I can definitely relate to that character alot, more than any other fictional character at least.FF6 - I liked Shadow because he didn't feel the need to prove himself as a 'good' guy, he just did what he felt was right, regardless of what others thought of him, and wasn't afraid to be cold-hearted when necessary.FF7 - Cid Highwind, by far. I dunno why, but he always made me laugh. "SIT THE F--K DOWN AND DRINK YOUR GODDAMN TEA!!!!"FF10 - Auron, I don't have any specific reason why. Maybe because I pretty much hated all the other characters. Oh, Seymour too, he made for a pretty entertaining bad-guy.FF12 - Baltier, or however you spell his name. I just got a kick outta him, and was smarter than he let on.

The only FF games that I played are FF10 and the one with Vincent (Dirge of Cerebrus, something like that)In FF10 my favorites off course is Tidus and Yuna, both of them really fits together and I love the romance between them two.Sadly, in the game, I never get to finished it, I always kept dying at the part when I have to face SIN.

I actually prefer Cecil from final fantasy 4 advanced since he does about 6k damage from regular attacking and then a release from his Lightbringer does about 9 some k so a total bout 15k damage in all. But if i had to chose from that list i guess i would choose rikku form ff10
