Cecil and Terra are my favorites. I am definitely more for old school final fantasy games than the recent ones, cause they have been over played, reborn, and exaggerated about. It makes you want to stop playing the newer games when you hear and see everyone playing them. Especially Cloud...he...deserves to rest in peace. He's been in too many games and plus the movie and anime series. He was nice when I played final fantasy 7 back when it came out, but now the way the company treats him is just ridiculous. All that ever matters is how much money a company can get out of putting out a certain character, series, etc multiple times.

Beautiful ;'DAlso very true, I can't stand to even look at anything FF7 related because of overzealous fanboys of that damned game. Yeah, it was great for its time and is still good now but time hasn't exactly been kind to it. Also the story felt a bit clumsy (for lack of a better word) at times, and ultimately I stopped caring about Cloud and his dumb little emotional issues by the end of the game.The older ones, while not nearly as much, are over-hyped by some people. FF4 wasn't the best SNES game, not by a mile, but it was pretty good. For anyone who has actually played the SNES version there's not nearly as many items/spells/enemies as there are in the PSX remake. FF6 however was fantastic, especially the use of mode 7 (mock 3D, like in Mariokart) for the world map when on an airship.
