Squall... because he actually sacrificed himself for his love. And that makes him a hero, dispite all the things he tried to do to get out of being in his own possition, He is a hero.

I chose sephiroth, only because he was one of the few charicters I am familiar with. Squall is far too whiny and a bit "anti-hero" in my opinion. I have a feeling if this vote was restricted to 4-7 charicters, the vote would be far more split.My overall favorite FF charicters, would be a 3-way split between Terra, Rydia, and Sabin. I never really played the PS+ titles.

None of the above, I liked Locke from FF3. 
But Yuffie from 7 was pretty good. I liked her attitude.

squall has the best looks and his gunblade is sweet.cloud is also good in the ff7 movie his final move is awsome
