I didnt put the one for the gamecube down, cause i cant even believe that its even Final Fantasy. Plus, i just wanna stick with the mainstream games with the included tactics.

You should at least have used the orignal names:Final Fantasy VI is not there, so people believe it's III; yet there is a Final Fantasy III.And what about Final Fantasy IV? There are Final Fantasy I and II ya know.

Oh, no no no. It's all thanks to a stupid USA translation. When they ported (not remade) Final Fantasy VI to PSX they went with the original name. Therefore Final Fantasy III (USA) is actually called Final Fantasy VI (Japan).Also, since there will be a remade of Final Fantasy III (I believe it's the Japanese one never released out of NES or Japan) for Nintendo DS, people have to call Final Fantasy games like how they are suposed to be called.I'm sorry if I insult, pun or flame you, but you should know the correct names by now, since it's a old issue who has been "fixed" a while now.the other ones were all remade and put on the playstation. and 1 and 2 r there

I would have to go with FFX (10 for those that are dum), because of the great summon system and best yet and the greatest graphics in any final fantasy 
, also the customizing of weapons is also a great big fat plus! Although i think VII (7) as best story line and FFT as best game play.Snake7 ya missing out, go to ebay or woolworths you'll find its like a £5 - £10 game now, when i got it 4 years ago, the first ff i ever got. it was £12

I've played (not finished) every of the main Final Fantasy games (I-X2), but I'm still missing XI, (no money for hard drive and my laptop sucks). So, from what I have played I say that Final Fantasy IV is the best one. It introduced the ATB system and the more developed charachters and story. Besides that it has something that makes it very special, I still not sure what is though. If you haven't played FFIV, you should download the snes rom right away!

Aggh!!!!!!!!! I was having an inner conflict with myself over whether to vote FFX or FFVII. So I just went for 10 because of its interesting way of developing your charactersand its amazing graphics.But I agree with decamij, there are way too many polls on the best FF ever.

I still don't understand how graphics can make people believe such games are the best (no pun intended).Most of the greatest rpgs ever created are in 2d, and a big part of them are for SNES.Role-Play Games are suposed to make a player enter a story where plot and storyline is something important, graphics are just to hold the game and interest people, not to substitute the reason of a RPG.I am sorry, but I have to say this:I still can't imagine how Final Fantasy X can be considered the best Final Fantasy! I played the game and it only shows how Square made Final Fantasy into a soap opera where bishouju and bishounen are used as pop idols. And it makes me even more sad how some people say better rpgs are inferior than Final Fantasy X just because they "don't have nice graphics".Insult me, do whatever you want, I had to say this because it's a burden inside my gamers heart, how gamers nowadays only care about graphics and whatever. And people complain how soap operas and love stories are stupid...Again, I am sorry if I insulted you, for sometimes I have to rant...

A story makes an rpg and that is what FFX had. Graphics are just naturally there.The story made me forget how bad the characters where(Auron is still a badass though)What is the whole bishuthing cuz i don't know. I need to know why you hate the games for such a reason.As for the whole "I can't believe you people think" thing, its the same damm thing with FF7. It's not the greatest game ever. The reason it's immortalized in gold is the fact that it was thier first rpg. They complain when it's not their precious FF7 and dismiss the earlier FFs as crap since it isn't FF7. Some people consider other Rpgs crap since it isn't FF7. I think we should notice that there are two kind of Final Fantasy games: the main ones (FF, FFII, FFIII, FFIV and so on) and the rest Final Fantasy related games (Tactics. Cristal Chronicles, etc). Also graphincs is nothing when talking about RPGs. And yes, most of the greatest RPGs ever were made in the 16bit era.

For me, I loved Final Fantasy 7, but that's just me. I loved the characters, and I think graphics don't affect the all around game that much. In a close second, Final Fantasy Tactics. It was incredible.

Even though i hated the times missions in FF8, the card game was increadible.
