As some of you might know the next generation of handhelds from nintendo is going to be announced next tuesday at E3, this unit will have a 3D display (the top one) and it's going to be (initially) compatible with the DS cartridges, this machine is going to replace the current DS line, as we learned with the last line of handhelds the FAT and the LITE were compatible with the GBA and with DSi and the DSi XL they removed the compatibility, so in light of this, when will you going to buy yours? personally, I'm buying an extra NDS lite as a backup and maybe a DSi XL for my home.

I think that is a great idea for nintendo's latest hand held. That is why it it above sony's.

I think I would buy one when i save up enough money. It seems the first handheld worth buying since it is something special and It looks like the press and everyone were impressed at the unveiling so...It's Good. But there are a few things which come ahead of that.

For me, 3D is just this fad that they're riding on, so it's pretty gimmicky. But even as a gimmick, it's not bad, since it brings the gaming experience to another level. My only apprehension is that it doesn't really enhance gameplay elements, only helping with the aesthetics.

I don't particularly like the route Nintendo is going right now, seems like a new version of the Handheld comes out every six months. wish they would just pick a version and stick with it.

The 3D seems a bit gimmicky, but I'm actually really excited for it. I would buy it as soon as it comes out, but I doubt I'll have the money.

I can't remember the last time I was as excited about an upcoming system. 3D without glasses, with an incredible lineup promised, as well as the ability to watch movies in 3D? And I rarely go online with my games so the tag mode also snares my interest.Nintendo is regularly trying something new and has a pretty good record of success, just another reason to have high hopes.

I don't think the first generation would be that awesome... It might be glitchy, I am definitely gonna wait till they come up with 3ds XL or something... Or maybe wait for the other competitors to come up with something too. Also the game titles are gonna wither be limited or they are gonna be remade from existing titles whereby all of us know its not gonna be of that high a standard...

I won't buy it right away as prices tend to be pretty high at launch time and I'm pretty satisfied with my DSi for now. But I'll certainly buy it later, since Nintendo DS has proven to be a great handheld system, and the 3DS promises to keep this up.

Im sick of hearing about 3D!Im totally into retro graphics now everything is "3D" and "HD"! I really dont care about these! I rather play block graphics then 3D ones... I really dont see the point in buying one, unless all the NDS games convert and cant be bought. Im sticking to my NDS enless it means the end of my gaming days!
