I personally think it will. Just take a look at gaming history.

Well look at the Wii and how popular that has become because of the opportunity to have some more interaction with the games. I think it's a start for the future to be honest.

From a gamers prospective, the available games that was shown on E3 feels like a copy of some of nintendo's DS and wii games. Though it's too early to call it a flop, it all depends on what kind of games will take advantage of the kinect's "no controller" controls.

I think it could do well but only if they use it in the right way, like using a hybred of controller and kinect for hardcore games, otherwise they are charging way too much for the casual audience.

If people are stupid enough to buy into the Wii's motion controls, they'll buy into Kinect.

It'll flop alright. What if you swat a fly in real life and you insult your brother in GTA V? And it only has a one angle camera so probably no shooting games unless they get a fake one for it or something.

Motion Control is a Gimmick, nothing more, nothing less. In two years, no one will even remember what Kinect was. I really dislike seeing all the major Game systems going that route. Hopefully the trend will fade fast.

It'll flop, having to move around that much to play a game is tiring and people will wanna stop playing soon after starting, ergo no holding power
