the nintendo 3ds does look pretty impressive. but i been wondering, will games like pokemon black and white (that already have 3d features) have more 3d features on the 3ds even though its a regular ds game?

No, I don't think they will. They've been designed for the DS. It won't have anything special that a 3DS can use.Black and White have 3D worlds and objects. The 3DS will have 3D graphics rendering. That's gonna be sweet.

I honestly don't think that the 3DS will be that big a hit. I haven't read any other posts or followed news but I have never been a fan of the 3D TVs and I'm assuming the 3DS will be similar. I don't like the idea of trying to play a game while wearing 3D glasses over my glasses. I am fine with the way games look on the DS now. Hell, I grew up with Nintendo from the beginning with the original Gameboy and the NES. I still enjoy playing some of those games and I enjoy playing the games on the DS now. Maybe future generations will enjoy the 3DS because that's what they get used to but I don't see myself playing it.I apologize if I made any incorrect statements or something that can be argued against. As I said, I have not followed other posts or news about the 3DS.

No, You're missing the whole point of the 3DS.Glasses free 3D. It's also a whole new console. The specs have been boosted to near PSP level. That means more capabilities. There are also added controls so it's more than just a 3D screen on a DS.

The Nintendo 3DS will cost about $300 US. It is a fair price considering all it's features. It will be released in about March 2011 in the USA.

supposedly the Price is 250 Euros which translates roughly to 330 USDalso Supposedly it will have a March us release.I heard a long while ago that Nintendo was looking into making free cell phone services with the 3DS! anyone know anything about that? it would be very interesting concidering the fact that it has a camera it can more than likely become bigger than the IPhone which is its only major competition right now.

It sounds interesting but i'm not all that excited about it. The 3DS doesn't really add anything new besides the 3D part and I don't think that's going to improve the game all that much

I'm interested in getting the 3DS, but I hadn't seen the proposed price yet. It seems like a cool concept to be able to have glasses-less 3D though. I think my big concern is going to be similar to the Wiis: As good as the nintendo games are bound to be, I just wonder how many third party developers will be working on the 3DS system. It's probably not a big concern on the surface since the DS does have a lot of additional developers. I just wonder how big of a factor the 3D is going to be for the new games, and just how effectivly the third party developers will be able to harness that power. I guess I'll just wait it out for a while and see what happens.

Right, but it's still fun to speculate. I've also heard the rumor that it might be more than 200USD, though personally I'm suspicious. The original DS retailed for 150, and it would be foolish of Nintendo to charge much more than that at launch. The original flew off the shelves, though, so 3ds won't retail for less than that. Of course, they could also tout the new technology and bump up the price. A PSP go is 250ish right? To stay competitive they can't just match the cost of a PSP, they'd have to undercut it a bit. Furthermore, Wii bundles are 200 now, so they wouldn't want to exceed that. All taken into account, a fair prediction might be 150-180.

i think you're in the right fieldit probably wont exceed their consol because they wouldnt want to undermine it making it seem less valuable, and less powerful than the 3dsthey might just max it at 200 to compete with the psp go that way they can keep it lower thus bringing in more revenue.personally the psp go has no chance. the only real competition the 3ds has is the itouch and iphone, and maybe even android phonesanyone here anything new about the 3ds having cellular service?

At first thought the idea of using my DSi as a phone seems silly but seeing how iphones etc are getting better and better for games it wouldn't surprise me if a DS would get a cellphone function. Is anybody getting the 3DS right of the bat btw? Seeing as my DSi still works fine I'll just wait for the 3DS+ (fictional name ofcourse) for the extra features etc.

looks good but will you be able to use r4 cards???? the best bit i think is the 3 cameras and the 3d without the glasses some of the games look excellent but i think it will be quite pricey around £200-£250 but i think it will be worth the money!!!!!

that would be excellent my 3dsphone

I think it's better than having to release a NDS micro or so.The E3 reception was really good and I think it met expectations. I think a few 3DS game trailers would change your mind. But if you can't see 3D on your TV, maybe you can't judge.I think just the fact of it being 3D without glasses would make me buy one. And if it could support homebrew, We may have a bit of fun,I guess 3D on a handheld is a good idea because the system it works on.., I doubt 2 people can see perfect 3D images on the screen at a time, So That's why 3DS is a funny idea and i like it. I can't wait to see a few real 3DS games being played. Also, Info

that would be a excellent idea ds microds lite is excellent dsi is ok 3ds i think will be rubbish

Wat?We don't know anything about the AP it will have yet. Nintendo say they'll have tighter security so just having a flashcart may not be enough. It may have to be jailbroken like a PSP before you can run ROMs on it. It'll be exciting to see what all they use the 3D for once it's jailbroken. I'm getting excited. Only 3 more months till release.

The 3DS is going to be really cool. Kingdom Hearts in 3D would just be the best game ever. Can't Wait!Final Fantasy in 3D (as long as the 3D is good) would just be mind blowing.

-facepalm- The 3D part works, been tested already, interviewers tried it out,.... Console price? Let's wait and see. Game price? Seeing as DS games tend to cost 40-50 euro I don't expect a change really. Besides, if games are really too exspensive, use an acekard, supercard two or so to "compensate" by not buying all the games or so.

you know at first i thought a phone on a ds wouldnt be too good but honestly thats the only thing iphones and andriod phones have over the DS (that and multitouch, which i hope the 3ds will fix.) but with a phone network (something fast like 4G) you might just be able to play with your friends from ANYWHERE! ofcourse this is all just speculation, but imagine the possibilities :offtopic: no more need for wifi and the chance of disconnecting if you travel to far from it.

Well, I'm excited for it. I put down my money for a preorder at Gamestop already, because I'm sure they'll fly off the shelves ridiculously fast.

Shouldn't be too amazingly hard to do either, the 3DS likely has most of the hardware needed for it. I wonder if a light version of skype'd work on it...Not really a phone per say but still... The main issue would be the convenience of phoning and needing a better mic but that shouldn't be too big a hassle.

I dont think it will be as cool as it sounds the 3D display may be more vulnerable to more problems that occur when playing DS.

I am excited for the 3DS, but I feel like I shouldn't hype about it too much in case the 3D graphics don't quite match up to expectation. It does sound quite awesome though, however I wish I could seewhat the 3D is going to look like...The starter colours are quite nice. If I ever got one I think I might go with the black.
