Lightning bolt! Lightning bolt!Premise (7/10)The premise is set in a fantasy world, where your only objective is to kill the Big Boss of some mountain. While extremely bare-bones in terms of plot, the settings vary from a dark cave, to a dark chapel, to a dark forest, to some non-dark places. It works with this game, but more backstory would have been nice.Gameplay (6/10)Gameplay is really simple. Touchscreen has spells/item slots, L & R buttons attack, etc. Pretty basic RPG fare. There are monsters like goblins and big floating eyeballs. Complaints I have total two. First: Skill system/stat system is extremely broken or nerfed, depending on if you want to be a mage or melee fighter. Second: Prepare to be raped when you go into a new area. Monster strength varies so much between areas that you will need to grind. Plus some monsters get extremely cheap hits. If you like difficult games, add 2 to this score.Visual (8/10)Everything looks nice, except that sprites are 2D in a 3D world, and most magic spells are just pallet swaps of the same animations. For the DS, graphics are above average.Audio (4/10)Eww, no. No real 'music', more like 'tunes'. The same little score repeats in an endless loop for much of the game. Sometimes there is no music. :whistling:Appeal (5/10)If you like first-person dungeon crawlers, this game is for you. I liked this game, it reminds me of Morrowwind for the xbox360. Difficulty may appeal to you, may not. Also, you can go back to previous areas and destroy all the monsters easily after you get through a bit of the game. That is pretty enjoyable.Overall (6/10)While the score is low for a 'recommended game', it is still fun. Its got that 'one more level...' kinda feeling. Harsh and challenging gameplay makes up for other shortcomings.
