Well I am currently in my first year of med school and i was wondering what you think about doctors. I want to see generally what the public thinks about them! I personally think doctors are smart people and in certain cases are very wise =P not just because im going to become a doctor. So I generally like doctors.
Doctors love em or hate em?

I dislike doctors... I was an under-age smoker (shamfully) when i last went to see the doctor, i went to get some help to quit before i was old enough. The doctor said i was a waste of time and not worth the NHS money to help.I have not and will not see a doctor AGAIN! Unless im in a coma or dead and cant avoid the situation. I have not seen a doctor in erm...5years something like that...Anyway, goodluck on med school

Dude...everyone needs to see a doctor at least once a year. :(I don't have anything against doctors. They tell me how I'm doing, and advise me after checkups. Without them, the world would be a terrible place. So...yeah, I like them.I dislike doctors... Personally,I think doctors are good people who try to save people when they're in danger.So yeah,I don't have anything against them,except when they're the ones causing pain.(syringe!

Whoa whoa! Seriously! You should've reported that kind of behaviour. You should've gone back to him and spat on his face dude! You should've brought up a massive fuss and really make him regret what he did. Make him realise he's an absolute disgrace to doctors.Gosh! That kind of behaviour just goes against everything doctors learn in medical school. All that stuff about being caring and passionate and doing everything you can to help your patients. It's absolutely disgusting to hear something like that. However, I do think you should really not stop going to the doctors. You should realise that doctor of yours was just one hell of a rotten apple. Really, there are excellent doctors here. Mind you, I also go and see NHS doctors and they are very kind and very caring. I tell you, any doctor that gives you that kind of rubbish attitude, make them realise they are a disgrace and make sure you report it and be serious about reporting it. Keep doing it. Do whatever you can, make sure that doctor gets in trouble.I dislike doctors... We have a new family doctor now. :facepalm:But i still hate them, its like a fear. He didnt actually use the words i said, but it was very close. Funny thing i have been old enough to smoke twice! 
1st time was my 16th birthday and the the age limit went to 18 on october 1st, my birthday lmao.

ehh... i suppose doctors are aite. i mean i obviously like the saving lives, improving health bit. but i feel like a lot of em are greedy and full of themselves. i know they studied hard and everything, made a lotta sacrifices, etc... but mayne they charge unreasonable prices. the american health care system is crap (i'm not even gon get into the problems with those piecas**t insurance companies), and the doctors totally exploit this messed up system by charging exorbitant prices. worse yet, docs often set up crappy schedules for patients jus so they can increase their damn leisure time, taking looooonnng lunches while patients wait for hours, some of em working 3 days outta the week and making it difficult to set up an appointment (since the rest of us have normal working hours).... lotta problems with doctors (of course this rant only applies to some.... but it seems like more and more doctors are entering this snobby category)

Love them. The problem with people is that they dont see the doctor for the right reasons. Sometimes people have general cold symptoms and really are not sick enough to go see the doctor. Other times people are hypochondriacs and think they are nothing but sick. Either way, the doctor is only going on what the patient tells them and reacts by prescribing something to treat those symptoms. Every time someone slams doctors, it is not the doctor's fault, its the patient's.

I like doctors until they tell me I need a cast or that I cant workout at all and then I absolutely hate them

... Okay but so is everyone else? I've encountered MANY doctors who are clueless. Just because someone has a degree or is great in one field, doesn't mean that they're actually a wise person.I have great respect to dedicated doctors who know what they're doing and very low respect for the rude ones.

i hate them because they're stuck up and make more than meI used to be afraid(isn't everyone) at first, but now i know they work hard and help contribute to society and overall life in general.

Doctors are needed but some just creeps me out. I cant understand the advance terms they use when speaking with them. Some of them do anyway.
