sudoku has actually been advocated by psychologists in memory improvement. basically the theory is that any activity that requires vastly different forms of thinking from normal brain processes will improve your memory by creating new neuron connections. psychologists also promote crossword puzzles for memory enhancement. while, ironically, the educational game genre has been proven in studies to not improve brain functioning at all. people who played educational games such as brain age and big brain academy on a daily basis for several months did not score any higher on scholastic tests—they only scored higher in the minigames within those educational games. so it seems the only worth educational games like big brain academy have is in sudoku, which can slightly improve memory over time. better to learn a new language if you're looking for brain enhancement....but games aren't bad for the brain. they're only bad cuz they waste time, taking away from activities that could educate. but no cell-killing or anything like that. anyway, playing games is still better than watching tv, which barely stimulates the brain at all thus leading to cell lossOld people don't seem to know what Sudoku is then. EEH? EEH? Anyone? HIGH FIVE. The fact that there's actually a term for 'educational games' shows that it's decent in healthy doses. I wonder how much people out there say video games are bad and also smoke?

People tend to exaggerate but, there is a reason why people say that video games are bad for you. It does in fact reduce the amount of vocabulary type retention because, your brain tries to remember things more exciting experiences and video games are more of an instant gratification than reading or something of that nature. With that said, I and most of my friends have played video games for most of our lives and most of us have a 3.3 GPA or better. So it really comes down to discipline in my opinion.people say that games are bad for you
and that they rot your brain cells and other things like that but are they really that bad
