Lol, you're looking for something interesting aren't you?I try to stay away from scary stuff...especially at night, playing your DS all by yourself....yeah no thanks haha.I know there's that surgeon game for the DS; that's "scary", but not "ahhh, my heart" scary if you know what I mean.

Etrian Odyssey I&2 are both very good games, wouldn't call them scary but they're fun if you're into the genre.

Dementium 1 and 2. I personally haven't played them but from reviews I've read it's supposed to be scary, kinda reminds me of silent hill (two different versions of the world (nightmare and normal)). Just a fun tip is remember to play those games with headphones on.

Etrian Odyssey is a fun game, I agree. But I haven't tried Demetium yet. If it's a shooting game, then I'll pass. ^ ^;;Scary...embarrassingly, a dead body in Ace Attorney got me scared for one night. I played it in the dark, acting the voices out...I got so frightened that I had to ask my sister to get my clothes in the other room since there was no light.I never search for those kinds of games, but yeah it would be fun for something like that once in awhile. Post it here when you find something!

LOL, you're not the only one, don't feel bad! I can't play pretty much any of the Phoenix Wright games at night. I just can't. Whenever I do, I end up awake all night, can't sleep, scared to move. (Much like whenever I used to play that old PC game from the early 90's, Return To Zork. I got scared just watching Youtube videos of it again a couple weeks ago.)

I've heard pray tell that Theresia is rather scary. Dementium, as already mentioned is probably scary enough. Take a gander at the boxart cover of Dementium 2.

Despite having just posted a topic about it, I'd say SMT: Strange Journey is an unusually bizarre, dark and depressing RPG for the DS. I dunno if you'll get any Resident Evil thrills out of it, but the storyline's creepy enough to fit into the horror genre.

Theresia can be quite scary at times, though the scary factor might be dampened a bit when backtracking all those times finally give way to feelings of frustration instead. If you can understand Japanese and want to play a scary game, do this: get headphones and a copy of Nanashi no Game. Plug the earphones in and play the game in the dark when you're all alone; that should provide you with a satisfactory amount of scares.

Dementium: The Ward, Dementium 2, Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, Touch the Dead, Theresia, and Obscure 1 & 2 are some of the games for the ds that are considered horror though if any is scary depends entirely on the person playing them. Though of the above mentioned i have played some of Dementium 2 and could see how it was scary for some and although i haven't played RE: Deadly Silence for i did play RE: 1 which is the game that was remade into RE: Deadly Silence. I would say this would have been a scary game if i had played it when it first came out and if i had to figure out every thing myself to progress the game's story since is some what challenging even on normal diffuculty.

the new resident evil game is a safe bet, but it depends on your scare factor. if you can handle using a pc or mac instead, go for something like amnesia. slender may give you a fright. otherwise, dementium is supposedly pretty freaky.
