Platformers are my favorite types of games so I'm making this to see what are some of people's favorite platformers. (It can be 2-D or 3-D)For me it would have to be Psychonauts for the Xbox and New Super Mario Bros Wii

My favorite platformer is the original Super Mario. I played that game for so many hours trying to find all the secrets and glitches

Metal Slug. Say what you will, but I grew up on it. 20 cent coins + huge ass arcade machines = a whole lot of fun.Kirby is pretty great too.

Banjo-Kazooie. This game blows Super Mario 64 out of the water. So many fond memories.

If you count Super Metroid as a platformer, that's probably it. For more run&jumpy stuff, I've always been fond of SMB2 (US). Of course SMB3 and SMW are great, too.

I completely agree with him. Crash Bandicoot warped was my favorite. I always timed myself on how fast I could beat it and I think my greatest was around 5 hours at age 10 haha. I could play that game for days on end.

I like the Super Princess Peach (a parody game of mario). I like playing with Peach's vibes. Also maybe because she's now rescuing mario :P

Hard one I like mario and Zelda but I would rather talk of newer ones than the classics I like Halo and assassin's creed is amazing, Call of Duty modern warfare is pretty cool too.

Banjo-Kazooie mastered the formula, I think. I'm not talking about the latest game, but rather, the Nintendo 64's installments. The movement is fluid; you cause the movement, and are not bothered by skidding. You can actually jump around, whereas the Zelda titles use a cheap mechanic which does not allow the character (Link) to jump unless you approach a ledge. The first two Banjo-Kazooie games were masterpieces for their time, and they still are. It can make you feel like you are in control of your destiny. The gameplay is not monotonous. You can explore at your own whim. It's a perfect platformer, IMO.

Cave Story. If you don't know what it is, go play it. Just google it, and there's a download on the fan site

Spyro 2 & 3 on PS1. The first one was too easy and made me feel a bit sickly. But the sequels were classics. Lost count of how many times I played them. Funny thing is, I have all 5 Spyro games on PS2 and haven't even played them yet. This is what happens when you get the latest console and all the best games for it. I'll play these Spyro games eventually, but in the meantime I can hear New Vegas calling my name.

Megaman of course, I have been addicted to that game ever since I would go to my friends house and play the first one. I always buy the games again when they come out on different consoles and enjoy it every single time I play it.
