Have you ever in your life held a grudge on someone? And if you have for how long? Are you still holding a grudge or the same grudge? :D

it's inevitable to hold a grudge for someone but for any sense you mus'nt linger it for to long.. sense it can destroy you inside.. It's better to forgive than hold a destructive feeling..

You have a very good point my friend. Grudging over someone is not worth destroying yourself inside. Though some people's determination on the subject usually lead them to forget this important yet simple fact.

I'm the worst at holding grudges. To hold a grudge on someone takes too much emotional energy... I usually get over things after about a day (if not less).

Yes, but like others have said, it usually fades away after a day or two. I haven't many people to hold a grudge against, really. There's only been one person I held a grudge against, and now he is a friend of mine. :psy:

I'll be the first dissenter and admit that I've been known to hold a grudge for years at times. I've managed to eventually get over most of them, although a few still give me twinges from time to time. For the most part, I do agree with the previous posters that holding a grudge for a long period of time can be damaging. After all, you're wasting your time on someone who really doesn't deserve your time or caring. I do think it's possible to gain some useful information about yourself with this process though. Most of the time, during the grudge I reexamine events that led to the grudge. Often times I realize that we were both to blame, though perhaps in different amounts, for the situation. By examining the causes for the grudge, I can learn how to avoid the situation in the future, by learning how to better deal with the actions of others or by learning how to better handle my own over reactions.

I held a grudge on a guy for a bit, but I realized it wasn't worth it, and I'd be better off just moving on with my life.
