Final Fantasy.At the worst, three FF games are equal to the three GS games. Yet there's over 10 Final Fantasy's all on par with GS, IMO.Plus Final Fantasy touches on multiple genres. JRPG, turn based strategy, fighting, etc. There's just no way to go wrong with the series.

if you like an one of a kind puzzle solving game than a common roll-playing game, go for golden sunp.s. i love FF too, i just like golden sun more

They are both good but, I think I like final fantasy more. It has better graphics which makes things more movie like when you are playing the game. Like the ends of some final fantasy games are anywhere from 30-60 mins in cinematic scenes.

Both are excellent games.But for me Final Fantasy wins out because there are more games to enjoy and I love the characters.

Golden Sun of course! I have been waiting for Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for seven years now! I still have to buy it, and I'm sure I will enjoy it more than a Final Fantasy title.

For me it will be final fantasy. i like both games' story but i prefer the graphics of final fantasy and the charactersBut both are still awesome games

Final Fantasy has been a bit disappointing on the handheld consoles, yet I'm convinced they can still produce a solid title somewhere down the road. As for Golden Sun, I've always been a big fan, but this latest game (Dark Dawn), was a bit disappointing. It had some wonderful characters and locales and all that, but the story just felt like a giant side quest. The Golden Sun games have always had some continuity to them, and I accept that, but it still didn't feel all that "epic" as it could've been. Tough vote overall, though.

Depends what I'm in the mood for really. The final fantasy tactic games are nice but the other FF games are very underwhelming...Golden sun's a great RPG though not as good as the GBA versions I think.

I prefer Golden Sun over most Final Fantasy games, as it has more puzzles and more interesting ones.
I agree with that, but I think they are so different to the other FF games that you can't compare them to Golden Sun.The final fantasy tactic games are nice

FF games are good but the aren't as good as golden sun. GS just has so much more replay value.

One of the posts reminded me to go back and check if I remembered correctly who the parents of the main protagonist for Dark Dawn were. So without giving more spoilers, I'll just say yeah I like that canon. But back to the topic, I'd go with the Golden Sun series because it was the one that made me want to play through and have the whole story unfold.

Both are fantastic games, but I prefer Final Fantasy for one simple reason: It was the first RPG I ever played, FFV was something extraordinary to me and that was 10 years ago, now I've played almost all the principal games and I really love all the series, Golden Sun is also a good game, the battle system is extraordinary but I think Final Fantasy it's better

Argh, I love both! Personally I think they both have an amazing and engaging storyline, but they both have different strengths. Like someone said earlier, Golden Sun has always been an awesome mixture of epic battles and puzzles... not to mention the variety of Djinn at your disposal to turn the tides of battle... and remember when you had to use the solar sensor on your GB to power up your psynergy? ...and Final Fantasy has always been about the gorgeous graphics, soundtrack and sweeping plot. I really can't choose, since really, they're both my original RPG favourites.

Final Fantasy FTWAs golden sun can be seen as a mild/intermediate classWhile to master Final fantasy u need to be really experienced

After playing through both games, i do admit that its a touch decision to make. However, i still think that FF is slightly better than GS in that FF can keep you entertained for significantly longer( the average of 60 hours compared to the 20-25 in GS)

I like final fantasy better just because the old ones were great.Final fantasy 12 was the best to me it had so much extra stuff,from the hunting missions to the summons you got to get yourself by fighting them.......good times.

I like them both. FF is great for innovation and visuals (FF XIII's battle system is the best I've seen), but Golden Sun is more of a nostalgia thing and, yes, has better puzzles.
