This should run fine (ie it will start and the game will run and be playable) .If you find you can't gain any EXP, Patch the ROM and try again (Instructions on the first post, Patch link: http://filetrip.net/...e-EFs-1-0.html)

I prefer doing it this way. Since he's anyway DLed it i may as well help him out.I think I'm only that way because 100 MB means 2 days internet usage to me. Isn't posting against the rules? Since you uploaded it yourself I suppose there is no problem...I don't want to add another post, So@mohl in the next post: Ya, Ok.

I can not get the file. It downloads it and then when I try to open it on a winzip, it says to give it a name and such. If I do that opening it will only try to give it another name in a new window, and so on. I'm lost at how to get an .exe from the RAR

Give it a name?Which file is it that you downloaded? The patch or the ROM.The patch contains an exe, Extracting it should give you 2 files. An exe and a text. The ROM contains a .nds. The rest are not important.Does winzip support rar?If it doesn't, Use 7-zip.Didn't you comment that you were using No$ ? Do you want to fix it on that or are you trying to patch the ROM file?

So, just to clarify for the people who are new to this. If we just download the pre-patched version then we don't have to do anything right? We can just open the Rom in desmume and start playing? But if we get the Rom from your, then we use the patcher?

That is correct. If you download the prepatched version, You should not have to do anything more.

Just follow the respective Instructions on the first post. "Pre-patched" just means that we have patched the ROM for you.You should still read the official DeSmuME guide, linked to on the first post (though if you're using desmume v0.9.7 and experience no problems just carry on with what you're doing :()

Wellll before you do all that you need to follow the official guide first, because it won't well without No$Zoomer, both BIOS files, and firmware.bin.That's why I kept putting "FOLLOW THE OFFICIAL GUIDES <link>" before everything else in the instructions on the first post, you know. :/

I don't think I have the BIOS or the firmware nor do I have No$Zoomer. Also, Are you missing a word?Lemme test with a backup I have. This works on a clean, untouched No$gba . Maybe it doesn't work well though. I'll have to play it to find out now, Won't I?I guess i got lucky with this ROM.

I don't think I have the BIOS or the firmware nor do I have No$Zoomer.

And why don't you have them. They improve stability and fix freezing/black screen/emulation problems that might not be immediately apparent (but can get pretty annoying). It's inadvisable to play the latest ROMs without them, given how outdated No$gba is.Everything's in the official guide, if you want to follow it for once.

This works on a clean, untouched No$gba . Maybe it doesn't work well though. I'll have to play it to find out now, Won't I?I guess i got lucky with this ROM.

What the hell is that supposed to mean. If you haven't tested it go and test it. If you want to advise members on how to get their ROMs fixed give proper advice, not advice that implies you got the ROM working with a few codes and a lot of luck. You've been giving plenty of people help on how to fix their B/W roms, which is commendable. Time to give them full and proper advice, not just stuff which teaches them how to input codes.

No, I guess you don't get what I meant.I tested the ROM on a clean No$. It ran a good, perfect hour before a crash. That's perfectly playable by my standards. Thanks for editing my comment though.Molh: My point was that "your" standards aren't really good enough when giving advice to others =/Won't press the point though, you've otherwise been excellent throughout this B/W activity. (Y)You've got a point there.

I have the AR Codes for Pokemon White Fix, I used the patch already, I'm using NO$GBA 2.6a w/ Bios and Firmware and the game won't start. It goes to the Press Start screen and afterwards just show the picture of the black pokemon. Is there any another AR Codes to use for loading fixes? (I played the rom fine yesterday when I first got it and saved after the first badge)

Try playing with the unpatched ROM and see what happens.Oh, and be sure to use No$Zoomer 2.3.0.2 too, if you haven't already been using it. It helps a lot. Also be sure that you're using the correct region's codes. If you're using the U rom you can't play it on No$gba yet (there are no codes for the U release yet), try downloading the english E release instead.

So, I downloaded the patched ROM for white yesterday, started playing, all worked fine. Saved for the night, turned the game off. Now today, all I see on desume is a white screen when I try to load the ROM. I have the latest version of desume, read through some on of links on this site (tried to get the bios and firmware, didn't help).Anyone have any advise on how I could fix this?

The prepatched ROM?You sure it just didn't load or pause itself?Try again. If it doesn't work, You can try renaming the ROM or save file and trying. You will lose your data but you'll get to know whether that's what is causing the problems.

Thanks 2bigpigs, renaming the file worked, for now at least. Otherwise, yes, it was the prepatched ROM, and I'm sure it did load. Pausing, unpausing didn't help. I'm afraid that the same thing might happen if I save and try to play again though? Anyone have advice on this? Maybe I'm using some kind of corrupt savefile or something? Didn't have this problem with plat on the 0.9.6 version, so maybe I forgot to changensome settings.
