NO, it seems worthless a DSi can play games just as well as a 3DS without extra "fun" graphics such as 3D. I'm more about storyline and content then the graphics therefore I don't need/want the "fun" graphics to play games.

Eventually yes, but will wait until the second version comes out.Nintendo always do that with handhelds... I made a mistake of buying GBA with no backlight when it first came out. Never again.Love my DS Lite. Don't really see a need for DSi or XL.

I might trade in my old DS lite and get a 3DS, but only after more games come out and after I have seen whether I really like it or not because I know my friends are going to buy it.

I absolutely plan to get one at one point, but I am probably going to emulate my tactic with the PSP.I waited until late in the PSP's life cycle: this means the price dropped quite a bit, there are more used games on the market, and there are enough diamonds in the rough -- enough good things through all the shovelware -- to justify me getting it. I currently have a small collection of the PSP's hits and must-haves.Right now, the launch titles don't really excite me a lot -- OoT 3DS looks nice, but not worth getting the system. In the meantime, I'm going to wait to see if you can emulate 3DS games on it (a definite sign of me buying it) and to see the hits on the system.

Two words: Analog pad. Even without the 3d gimmick, this is all I need. That and the 3ds exclusive titles of course like kid icarus and the latest mario rpg (paper or the bros).

That's my thinking exactly. I've really missed the analog stick when playing Aragorn's Quest and Lego Harry Potter and other 3D-type games, so I'm sure glad they put one on the 3DS. I'd be willing to upgrade my daughters' DS Lite and DSi XL just for that. Plus apparently we can get some trade-in value on the DSi XL...

I pretty much have the exact same opinion as the previous poster =O. Now that we know Zelda OOT 3DS is also going to have the Master Quest in it, I'm definitely going to get that =). So maybe I'll get a 3DS in June or something when that and Kid Icarus and stuff comes out.

Nintendo is consistently leading the industry with cool innovative idea and the 3ds is just another example. I bet in the next year you'll see 3d phones and a 3d psp. I will definelty being buying a 3ds teh day it comes out. Not just for the gaming but for the 3d camera.

I'm already in to deep ($150 to be exact) to not get a 3DS. I'm a little disappointed that gamestop is only giving me $50 for my mint condition DSLite. Luckily I bought the DSLite at walmart during black friday (FTW! ) So come launch day I'm only gonna have to shell out the last $50 bucks for it! OoT in 3D will pwn ALL!

Not now, but eventually. I truly don't give a crap about the 3D gimmick, to be perfectly honest with all of you. 3D is so '90s, if you ask me.

I want one quite a bit, but not for the 3D gimmick. I think it is interesting, but will likely turn it off msot of the time. I'm more interesting in the new hardware, the games, and some of the other hardware and software capabilities designed into the system. The 3D is a secondary consideration for me.

Not questioning that; it is pretty much my view on the product, but as of now I'm not 100% interested in it. Truth be told, I'm wanting to complete all my DS games before jumping aboard the 3DS...although I rarely have the time to play video games anymore.

It's tempting to try to get one, but I just got a new DSL yesterday (found it for really cheap...) honestly, the 3DS isnt a big pull for me, partially because its 4D and they just don't realize that time is a dimension and it bothers me since I'm a science major, but also because it looks exactly like the last 3 systems to come out. sure its got the analog stick, cameras, and the "3D slider" beyond that its the same exact thing as a DSL, only the DSL could play GBA titles. XD

Not sure. It would definately need to get a price drop first, and there would have to be a good number of games that I want, like Ocarina of Time. (Hopefully they remake Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, my favourites of the series. I'm not interested at all in Pokemon Black and White)
