considering that lately nintendo has been focusing on developing more games for 3ds i think i will probably wait til the price drops further then buy it

I bought mine a couple weeks too late to qualify for the Ambassador Program to be ready for what has only been announced a couple months ago to be Pokemon X & Y versions.
I wish I could have gotten into the Ambassador Program though, they got Metroid Fusion for free and I'm not even able to pay to get it on the eShop.

After buying the 3DS I find the games hurt my eyes maybe should of looked into that

I picked up a 3DS today after I was able to find a Super Mario 3D Land bundle at a local Walmart. Was looking for the XL version with Mario Kart 7 but not a bad find for the price. Really looking forward to the titles in the coming months!

I just turn the slider off or get an XL -- apparently the newer models handle the 3D effect better. Not sure if true, though.

I am really close to getting a 3DS XL. I just don't want to buy one and find out a better version with better battery life was just released. If they did make one I would buy instantly. The game library and the upcoming releases have me sold, and I will probably pick one up around thanksgiving.

It's funny that I actually responded to the poll a long time ago with a no but I'm actually saving up for one right now 
there are just so many games that I want to play that are only on 3ds that I feel I need to get it.

I already picked up a 3DS at this point. My main reasons for doing so was the fact that my DS lite has barely functioning shoulder buttons and that I was interested in a few of the games being released for the console like Devil Summoner Soul Hackers, Code Princess, and a few others.

I just got one recently used from a local used game shop. I got it mostly for pokemon x/y and when I can I'll probably trade it in for an XL when I get the extra cash... The XL has a better battery life + the bigger screen helps with the 3d making it Seem better than the 3ds...

I know I am really late in the game here but at some point I still plan on buying one (glad I waited now the 'new' units are out) at some point.
Dying to play the Zelda titles and a few others...not sure if I will use a flash cart or not, maybe if I buy one for my DSI that also workds for the 3DS, but some 3DS/DS titles I would still like the orginal games complete in box, like the mentioned Zeldas, Castlevania and a few others.
