I sometimes feel like I'm missing out on a lot of great games that are lost in the jungle of big titles. Some of my favorite games are in fact less known titles, and I'm sure it's the same with many of you. I created this thread so that we can all take part of each others' favorite "underdogs". My hope is that we can produce a list of great titles that people can refer to for recommendations they would otherwise miss out on. The rules are simple:* List 1-3 of your favorite games (preferably less known ones, but the important thing is that you're attached to them) and include a short description of why you like it/them* If a game has already been mentioned, don't list it again. Feel free to comment about it, but list at least one new game* Any platform goesOk, so let's get started. Here are my entries:Shadowrun, SNESA very underrated RPG/Adventure based on the pen & paper RPG with the same name. The combat is a bit lacking, but it has great (gritty) atmosphere and elements of both RPGs and classical point & click adventure games (only no clicking). And the level up system is addictive.Snake Rattle & Roll, NESColorful isometric action game with 2 player co-op. This game is fast, fun, challenging and loaded with secrets. I still come back to it.Fallout, PCOK, perhaps not really an underdog. Since the release of Fallout 3 everyone knows the name, but I would like to put emphasize on how great this first game of the series is. The game is very open-ended, with a great story and fun turn-based combat. There are a lot of interesting locations with great atmopshere and backstory. Try it out people, it's not at all like Fallout 3 (and in my opinion a better game).

3 games that I was really attached to was 1. Playstation - Monster Rancher 2. Ive only know one other peson to actually play this game. Im not to sure if it is one of the unknowns but I have never heard of anyone else having this game. 2. Playstation - The Legend Of Dragoon. That is one of the best games I have ever played. It playes like many of the Final Fantasys but with a twist if you've ever played it.3. Playstation 2 - Chessmaster. Played that with my one friend and was very intense but I doubt that was popular.

Custom Robo Arena - DSCombat and customization was great. For me, the story was actually pretty good too.Yakuza 4 (and 3) PS3 -ell technically not an underdog in japan, the series is really overlooked in the west. which is understandable seeing as it's such a japanese game.

Great recommendations so far! Again, don't think too hard about whether they're underdogs or not. All of these feel more fresh than say God of War. I think I might try The Legend of Dragoon.

Pac man was the best underdog in my opinion
