I've heard they're really different, so I was wondering if I should read the manga or watch the anime. Basically, which one is better?

for me im more of a moving animation person so.. i will say anime.. but people say manga is better.. because u get to skim through them very quickly

Personally,I like to watch the anime better.After all,Too many manga volumes can crowd up the room,or rooms.But,you can read the manga more than once,but I still choose the anime instead.

I actually (in most cases) prefer manga above anime, since manga usually contains a more detailled story than the anime version of it. Because some parts, in the anime are edited or removed due to censoring for TV viewers. Nevertheless, I actually watch the anime first, to read the manga afterwards. Mostly to compare.

i personally liked the anime way more than the manga, but i can see why some people prefer the manga.

I like anime better than manga, may be because I might be a old school on this kind of thing.

For me, I'd say anime because you can actually see the person in action rather than flipping through a manga book even though some animes, like Detective Conan(Case Closed) have cliffhangers or filler episodes where the series goes on forever. Detective Conan is on season twenty right now so I don't know when they'll stop. It seems really popular in Japan so I doubt they're going to stop anytime soon.I've heard they're really different, so I was wondering if I should read the manga or watch the anime. I Think that Anime and manga should be treated differently. Manga=story Anime=action! just like B movies vs Actually good movies.

I started out with anime, back when Pokemon and Sailor Moon reached Sweden, but slowly got into manga when I realised that it moved a lot faster and had more (most of the times) more info / action in every issue, compared to the fillercrap that Naruto and Bleach are so very good at <_<My vote goes to manga, if it wasn't obvious, but I don't think there's a "better one". More like personal preferences.

Well you can't really compare anime and manga to much without likeing them for things that they both don't have.It's more so like comparing a Book to the Movie that was based off the book.And from what i noticed the Mangas are WAY better. There is more content and it can be a lot dirtier. LolBut they can both be great. I mean take a look @ Full Metal Alchemest. The show and the books series were very different but both were Amazing!

Manga you can read them much faster and in the am=nime its long and draw out and there commercials

i watch anime alot, its slower that the manga so i could spend more time on it unlike the manga wich you can finish in a flash so i say anime, you can see the people moving, there for you see alot of action and for some reason its more intertaining that just looking at black and white pages with words and the occasional colored ones.

I read manga and watch anime. Since the manga is so far head of the anime i dont have to wait that long for new stuff to come out. Though the anime has good fight scenes and all the color. Both has goods and bad.
