back when i was first playing pokemon silver, i could never beat whitney.i didnt know how to train properly and so i only had one quilava, which would get quickly destroyed by roll out.so yeh, for me whitney.though now that i'm experienced i would have to say red in hgss.

yeh that was surprisingly hard. i didnt know you could get a monkey from the girl so i had to use my pokabu against hiyappu, which didnt turn out that good.

oh god. whitney in g/s was so difficult. another trainer i had a tough time with was gardenia in sinnoh. the only pokemon i had with me were piplip and geodude. i didn't want to bother catching a starly so i trained those two a lot to get pass that gym. other than those two, red would be the difficult one

Red from HeartGold and SoulSilver is by far the hardest trainer I've ever battled. He has a balanced party, and all of their levels are in the 80s range. I barely managed to defeat him, and I had three Pokemon leveled in their 90s.

I would say Cynthia in Platinum (all others are weak in this version) and probably in the Heart Gold / Soul Silver Pokemon Treiner Red is the most challenging.I don't know about the others because I didn't play them

I have to agree with the popular vote. Every run through of Gold/Silver resulted in a LOT of time spent farming for Whittney. I still freak out when I see a Miltank.

I have had a ton of troubles with Whitney and normal-type pokemon. This was espically true of Miltank and his rollout attack every single turn.

It's a 3 way tie for me-Whitney-Ghetsis (the final story battle in Black and White-one nasty dude!)-GARY OAK(especially when he's the champion)i'm pretty sure that Whitney's Miltank is the most hated normal type in the game...

Whitney definitely was a pain, especially in the DS remakes where her Miltank can hit Ghosts.... <3

In my opinion, Red from SS/HG, Whitney from Hg/SS/Crystal, each champion from each region are the hardest Trainers.

I think the hardest trainers in pokemon would be tied between these two. Wallace and Cynthia. If you really notice just look at their pokemon, they are super stong. Wallace has a milotic. My opoinion would be milotic is a fantastic pokemon. You dint see a lot of trainers with it either. Cynthia as well has a milotic but she also has a garchomp. Garchomp is very fast. Every move you see garchomp take is always critical. So my opinion would be that wallace and cynthia are the hardest trainers in pokemon.

whitney's miltank was pretty easy for me because i had quilava and i am pretty experienced with fire pokemon

Red was the most challenging opponent for me, gosh i don't know why he didn't have a raichu instead of a pikachu. But i managed to beat his whole team first time round even though most of my pokemon were a few levels lower than his.

Lance from the GSE era was a beast. All those darn Dragonites were hard to beat on top of that a Charizard and Aerodactyl.

two possibilities. me. or ghetsis in pokemon black and white, which you face after beating/catching reshiram/zekrom then beating N.

I think it is gary from fr/lg. (so far i jave not played any nds versions or game remakes of pokemon.) He uses pokemon of various types, so if you used a standard type of pokemon (which i did [water] and beat him with a little luck), he can crush you.

Cynthia at the end of Pt was quite hard, but I have not played B/W yet. There was also Steven in Pokemon Emerald, who fought you after the Pokemon League.

i've played almost all the pokemon games and the trainer i've had the most trouble with was Wally from Ruby & Sapphire versions. don't know why, he just always gave me problems. the last time i had to fight him to leave the cave so i could make it to the elite 4 i got stomped and had to spend and hour training in the cave to level up a bit and i only beat him by the skin on my teeth.
