Genre: ???/ adventure, create-your-own*typetypetype*! NOW WITH ADJECTIVES!-- Premise (8/10)The premise of Scribblenaughts is super simple, and actually a litttle lacking. Collect Starites. That's it, no motivation, whatsoever. However, this inadequate premise gives the game an enormous amount of creative potential, freeing you to play your way.-- Gameplay (8/10)Gameplay has been vastly improved from the first game. Instead of only touch screen controlls, the d-pad can now be used for moving. This solves one of the biggest problems of its predecessor. Touch screen accuracy has also been improved a little. Gameplay is still fun, simple, and awesome.Gameplay mainly involves typing out a word to solve a problem in order to collect starite. This simple, but amazing facet can spur your imagination to new heights, or leave you wishing you never bought this game. Problems can always be solved multiple ways, and the game gives you hints if you can't figure out a problem.-- Visual (7/10)i wish i could score the visuals higher, but I cannot. The graphics are fine for a DS, colorfull and whatnot, but nothing really strikes out at me. More detail could have been used with the backgrounds/various objects, but i'm not sure if the developers did the storybook graphics to purposely look bland. :/-- Audio (7/10)Catchy tunes, but nothing special. It works for scribblenaughts, though, lending to its cutesy charm.-- Appeal (9/10)This came will appeal to a very wide variety of gamers. Something about just making things up is just wonderfull. I've seen hardcore players with it, casual gamers with it, even elderly people play it. Replay is also very high, especially after a good break. This game is good for marathons, or just in between life events.-- Overall (7.8/10)This game is good. Great even. A few flaws from the first game are still here, but the word database has been greatly increased, and the adjectives work well with this. All-in-all, though, it feels more like a major update than a completely new game. If you were captivated by the first game, then definitly play this. If you couldn't stand the first game, then don't play this. If you are on the fence, just try it out.
