I think this will be awesome1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU 512MB of RAM 1GB of ROM. The screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches.Possibly: 5 or 8mp senor and 720p video recordinghttp://pspslimhacks....-phone-is-real/

It's more of a phone than a PSP isn't it?512 MB and 1 Ghz sounds really good. I hope it can run all sorts of apps. Running homebrew would also be awesome but I don't know whether that would be possible without jailbreaking it.They should have skipped the Go and just concentrated on this (Or the PSP2) instead.

I think it would be half phone and half this, but yeah its mainly a phone. Its most likely going to run on Android which is open source so jail breaking might be possible although i haven't the slightest clue about what is exactly its about.

It is a Sony device and the PSP has such strong Anti Piracy features. It should be interesting to see what this does. I wonder whether the PSP2 will affect the sales of the phone. I know I wouldn't go for a PSP phone if the PSP2 was announced. I'd get 2 separate devices. One phone and one PSP2

What's probably gonna happen (or rather, what makes a LOT of sense at this point) is if Sony releases two models, one PSPhone (or variation) and one PSP2 at the very same time, both running Android, but only one (the PSPhone) being a cell phone. the PSP2 with android can just be an awesome companion to it. It would have tons of advantages, like way ( and i mean WAY) better net browsing capabilities, an already developed OS (with just the PSP stuff to add/phone stuff to remove and the a user base that is BIG. Plus, seeing the iPhone/iPod Touch combo SO successful, doesn't it make sense? Here's a pic of the phone, btw:Posted ImageThis will be a GIGANTIC flop if instead of adding one analog nub, they remove the existing one. Let's hope this prototype undergoes some drastic changes...BTW, to the best of my knowledge, there's no jailbreaking on Android OS, just Rooting...

I can't load the image :haha:. I guess it's the same as the one in the first post. But really, Who wants an analog stick on a phone (I do, Bad question.) You have a point there. I can't imagine using a touchpad as an analog stick. It'll plain suck.Android can run lots of apps right? If that's the case then maybe jailbreaking it is a complete waste of time. We should all concentrate on the PSP2 instead.( I hope they get a better name for it soon, PSP2 sounds strange)

As rumors seem to indicate at this point, the PSPhone and PSP2 are completely different devices, and the former will actually be unable to play PSP games! Which makes is a gigantic flop.

From everything I've seen and heard, the PSPhone will in no way be able to live up to both the PSP2 and the iPhone/iPod, unless some drastic changes are made. While I agree that not having an analog stick would be a very bad idea, putting one on a phone seems... awkward. I can just imagine trying to talk with this nub poking me in the chin the whole time... Unpleasant.

From all the pics I've seen it looks like you'd slide the screen back down when you use it as a phone.I don't think it'll get to PSP2 or Iphone standards since it's obviously meant to be a phone and a regular PSP.

I don't like the idea. Aside from being more of a phone, I don't see any joystick around there.

Seems awful. iPhone dominates this phone.

I think instead of the analog sticks there is the touch sensitive pad in the middle that will act as substitutes. Anyway, just recently saw the commercial on the phone and there is an 80% chance I might get it! :s It looks really cool! I'm just going to wait for the reviews on that thing just in case...

My interest has definitely piqued but I'd for sure wait to see how this plays out as opposed to the other PSP models much like I do with any type of 'New updated Model' of a previous version....plus I still have my PSP and my Phone.
